On the 30th day of July, 1968 at 7:30 P.M. , the City Council
met in a call meeting at the City Hall with the following
� members present:
Ira Woods Mayor
D. E. Dalton )
H. E. Huber )
' Willis Pirkle) Councilmen
G. S. Benedict)
Lee Thompson )
Floy Ezell City Manager
Jim Hancock City Secretary
Messrs. Hurley, Fairless and McNeely of Communicon, Inc. were
present to discuss with the Council some of the problems the
City is having with telephone service, and ways they can be
of service to the City in helping to resolve them. Mr.
Fairless is to bring a proposal to the Council meeting of
August 6, 1968.
Bids on the purchase of a new car for the Police Department
were reviewed. Councilman Pirkle made a MOTION to accept the
` low bid of Huffines Chevrolet Company of $2,488.98. MOTION

seconded by Councilman Dalton. MOTION prevailed by the follow-
ing vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Thompson, Dalton, Pirkle, Huber, & Benedict.
Noes: None
Bids received are on file in the City records.
The final plat of the Little John Addition were reviewed.
Councilman Huber made a MOTION to approve said addition.
MOTION seconded by Councilman Benedict. MOTION prevailed by
the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Dalton, Pirkle, Huber, Benedict & Thompson.
Noes: None
Meeting adjourned.
