On the 25th day of September, 1968 at 7:30 P.M. , the City
Council met in a call meeting at the City Hall with the
� following members present: �
Ira Woods Mayor

H. E. Huber ) Councilmen
Lee Thompson )
Floy Ezell City Manager
Jim Hancock City Secretary
General Telephone Company representatives, Speck Dunnaway
and Garnett Keethly were present and explaineci the phone
company' s proposal for improved service for Grapevine sub-
scribers. The proposal was discussed in regards to the
calling scope, rates, phone exchange territories, dates
for the service to be in ef.fect, the metro plan, mid-strip
plan and other imp�rtant aspects of the proposal. The
Council outlined additional services they deemed necessary
for Grapevine subscribers. Mr. Dunnaway stated that all
the towns that were submitted proposals are asked to have
a decision on the proposal within 60 days. Mr. Dunnaway
was informed that the Council will take the proposal under
study.
Meeting adjourned.
