S. Benedict ) Willis Pirkle ) Herbert Huber ) Councilmen Doil Dalton ) Lee Thompson ) � E Planning & Zoning Commission Harlen Joyce Howard Parsley � Tommy Eidson �` Ted Ware � . Mayor Woods called the meeting to order and gave the invocation. � �> The purpose of the joint meeting was for continuation of � ' the Public Hearing on Zone Change Application 68-20 on � which Victor Leighton requested "E" Modified Residential �' for Mobile Homes on his property in the Mahan and Johnson �` , Surveys. Mr. Leighton was present and explained his plans � for his mobile home park. No one was present in opposition. � Mayor Woods declared the hearing closed. �' �� � � q The City Council continued to meet for the regular meeting �: ' of December 3, 1968 with the following members present: �' � u Ira Woods Mayor � � Willis Pirkle ) � Lee Thompson ) � Doil Dalton ) Councilmen G. S . Benedict ) �' Herbert Huber ) � Floy Ezell City Man ager � Jim Hancock City Secretary �; � gp A' � Mr. Ernie Dean, Chief Engineer for the Airport Board and Ken Dipple, Assistant City Attorney for the City of Dallas � were present and showed maps of the Airport area with the A � roads maxked that the Airport Board is asking the City to authorize to be closed. Councilman Pirkle made a MOTION s to approve the closing of the said roads as indicated on � the map accompanying the Airport Board's Application, sub- � ject tothe Airport Board signing the letter of intent and � agreement between owners of the Dallas-Fort Worth Regional � Airport and members of the North Texas Regional Airport Committee. MOTION seconded by Councilman Dalton. MOTION prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Pirkle, Thompson, Dalton, Benedict & Huber. Noes: None 1 � g Mr. Joe Box and two other property owners were present and asked the City to lead the protest in opposition at the public hearing, conerning Mr. Martin' s application to turn sewer effluent into the drainage area South of his mobile home park off County Road 3030. Mr. Box also suggested that the City pass an ordinance prohibiting putting sewer effluent in an y drainage area in the City. Councilman Dalton made a MOTION for the City to be represented at the public hearing concerning Mr. Martin' s application and �- that City Manager Floy Ezell is to decide what representatives should go. MOTION seconded by Councilman Thompson. MOTION prevailed by the following v ote: Ayes: Councilmen Thompson, Pirkle, Dalton, Benedict & Huber. I� Noes: None ; I The application of Joe C. Irving to move a house to Lot 9, ; Block 5, Placid Peninsula was considered. Mrs. Irving was � present. Mr. & Mrs. Verburg and Dr. & Mrs. Kimbell were present in opposition to the house being moved in. Council- man Pirkle made a MOTION to defer action until next meeting. Councilman Dalton seconded the MOTION. MOTION prevaile d by • i the following vote: � • � Ayes: Councilmen Huber, Benedict, Dalton, Pirkle & Thompson. � Noes: None i i � Councilman Huber made a MOTION for Councilmen Pirkle and Dalton � as a committee to inspect the site of the proposed house move- j � in and make a recommendation to the Council on the issuance of $ a permit. Councilman .�enedict seconded the MOTION. MOTION � prevailed by the following vote: ; � ; Ayes: Councilmen Pirkle, Dalton, Benedict, Huber & Thompson. j Noes: None 0 E � The final plat of Falcon Heights Estat�es was considered. ; Councilman Dalton made a MOTION to approve said final plat.
