S. Benedict ) t Mayor Woods called the meeting to o�der. � Bob Nichols, of Freese, Nichols & Endress, the City' s consulting engineers was present at the request of the � City for the technical information he can furnish in �; connection with the Council ' s consideration of the positinn � the City should take regarding a public hearing to be held ` December 13, 1968 at Duncanville. The public hearing is � being held by the Tex,�►s Water Quality Board and is for the � consideration of H. C. Martin' s application to discharge � sewer plant effluent from his proposed sewage treatment E �. plant which is to serve his Mobile Home Park, in the drain- �' age area South of his mobile home park in the Alexander � Thompson Survey. Councilman Benedict made a MOTION for � the City representatives who are to be at the hearing to recommend that the hearing be continued to a later date to give the City an opportunity to make a study to determine if the resources of all the interested parties in that area can be combined for the installation of one treatment plant which would be adequate and more feasible for all concerned. MOTI�IN seconded by Councilman Pirkle. MOTION prevailed by the following vote: � R' Ayes: Councilmen Benedict, Thompson, Pirkle, Huber & Dalton. � Noes: None � � The letter from the H.U.D. Agency informing the City of �` their approval of the City' s application for Federal assistance r in funds for sewage treatment plant improvements was dis cussed. � Councilman Pirkle made a MOTION to authorize Freese, Nichols � and Endress to proceed with the engineering plans and specifica- € tions necessary to meet the requirements outlined in the letter � from H.U.D. . MOTION seconded by Councilman Dalton.
