Start 000 ; STATE OF TEXAS � COUNTY OF TARRANT � CITY OF GRAPEVINE � On the 21st day of January� 1969 at 7:30 P.M. , the City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas met jointly with the I Planning and Zoning Commission in the City Hall with the following members present: �j City Council ` Ira Woods Mayor ; � Doil Dalton ) � G. Huber ) Councilman j Lee Thompson ) i i Councilman Pirkle was absent. � E I ; Planning and Zoning Commission a iHarlen Joyce � Howard Parsley j Ted Ware � � Mayor Woods called the meeting to order and turned the .meeting $ over to Harlen Joyce, Chairman.of tYie Planning and Zoning � Commission. The purpose of the joint meeting was for Public � Hearings on Zone Change Applications 68-26, 69-1 and 69-2. � � Application 68-26 on which Mr. M. T. Jordan requested "F" � Local Retail District on a 600 foot deep frontage on his � property on Highway 121 was considered. Persons present E were given an opportunity to be heard in connection with � said application. � ' � �€ Application 69-1 on which Robert E. Patterson requested "B" Residential on the north portion and "E" Modified for Mobile � Homes on the South portion of 21.34 acres in the Mahan Survey � was considered. Persons present were given an opportunity to � be heard in connection with said application. i � Applicati on 69-2 on which Truman Berry requested "C & D" Multiple Dwelling District on his 7 acres in the Freeman Survey, Abstract 526 was considered. Persons present were given an � opportunity to be heard in connection with said application. i � Chairman Joyce informed persons present that the City Council j will receive the Planning and Zoning recommendation for the � next council meeting of February 4, 1969. �:- � - � 'i The hearing was declared closed. Huber ) Councilmen Lee Thompson ) � � ,= Councilman Pirkle was absent. � % 182 The minutes of the previous meeting of January 7, 1969 were � read and approved. 208 Rezone application 68-23 and 68-24, filed by Grapevine Develop- ment, Inc. was considered. The Plannning and Zoning Commission had recommended to disapprove the applications. Councilman Dalton made a MOTION to defer action on said application un- til the next council meeting of February 4, 1969. MOTION seconded by Councilman Huber.. MOTION prevailed by the follow- ing vote: Ayes: Councilmen Benedict, Thompson, Huber and Dalton. Noes: None Rezone Application 68-25, filed by Frank Caster was considered. �` The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended to approve said � application withthe provision that the requested Specific Use Permit for boarding of horses be restricted to not more than �' 20 animals. Councilman Dalton made a MOTION to accept the � recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission and pass Ordinance 69-4 authorizing the permit. MOTION seconded by Councilman Benedict. MOTION prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Thompson, Dalton, Huber and Benedict. Noes: None ORDINANCE 69-4 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE �ONING ORDINANCE AND THE ZANING MAP OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, -- TEXAS� SO AS TO PROVIDE FOR A SPECIFIC USE PERMIT FOR THE BOARDING OF HORSES NOT TO EX- I;',_ , ,: CEED 20 ANIMALS ON CERTAIN PROPERTY OF FRANK �f § CASTER. 273 Funds for paying for the street improvements on Starnes and Brewer Streets was discussed. Councilman Benedict made a MOTION for the said improvements to be paid.for out of the General Fund. MOTION seconded by Councilman Thompson. MOTION prevailed by the following vote: � � Ayes: Councilmen Thompson, Benedict, Huber and Dalton. �' � Noes: None �. � 290 Joe Wright was present to request that the City furnish a �' water tap for the Grapevine Cemetery at no cost to the � Cemetery Association. Councilman Dalton made a MOTION to �' furnish water to the Grapevine Cemetery at no charge until further notice by Water Superintendant or other authorityo � providing the Cemetery Association will satisfy the «' applicable refunding contract provisions. MOTION seconded � � by Councilman Benedict. MOTION prevailed by the following � vote: Ayes: Councilmen Huber, Thompson, Dalton and Benedict. � Noes: None �, � � � I ! 1 f } ,,�,, � � � a , The request of G. L. Perry to place six portable living units on his property on East Dallas Road was considered. Councilman Huber mad.e a MOTION to issue permits for the � said buildings under the provisions of the temporary � building permit section in the City Code and for the permits not to be renewed beyond five years from the date of the placement of the buildings. MOTION seconded by I Councilman Dalton. MOTION prevailed by the following , ! vote: Ayes: Councilmen Benedict, Huber, Thompson and Dalton. Noes: None Extensions on the 8" water line beyorud. the new school was discussed.
