S. Benedict ) Councilmen Willis Pirkle ) � Councilman Huber was absent. Mayor Woods called the meeting to order and gave the invocation. The minutes of the previous meetings of February 4th and 5th, � 1969 were read and approved. � ; 023 Rezone Application 69-2 was considered. Councilman Benedict � = made a MOTION to delay action on the application until the f next meeting of loiarch 4, 1969. Motion SEQONDED by Councilman a Pirkle. Modified for Mobile Homes on his Lots 3 & 4, Block 1, Hilltop € Addition was considered. The Planning & Zoning Commission ; recommended to disapprove the request. Councilman Pirkle made � '^ a MOTION to accept the recommendation of the Planning & Zoning � Commission' s recommendation and disapprove said application. ; Motion SECONDED by Councilman Thompson. Councilman Pirkle � made a MOTION to pass said resolution. Motion SECONDED by Councilman Dalton. Said resolution is on file in the City official Resolution Book. ¢ 162 The need for a replacem�nt sewer line to serve residences on � E. Wall and E. Northwest Highway was discussed. Councilman Pirkle made a MOTION to authorize the City Engineers to pre- �; pare plans and specifications for the construction of sai d � sewer line. Motion SECANDED by Councilman B�edict. Motion �' PREVAILED by the following vote: � � s, Ayes: Councilmen Dalton, Benedict, Pirkle and Thompson. � Noes: None � � (.. } � 1 � 2 � ' 187 Councilman Dalton made a MOTION to approve the extension of the 6" water line on Red Bud Lane providing Mr. Berry installs as much as 600 feet of 6" water line on Dunn Street. Motion SECONDED by Councilman Pirkle. Motion PREVAILED by the follow- ing vote: Ayes: Councilmen Pirkle, Thompson, Dalton and Benedict. Noes: None �, �t 209 Councilman Pirkle made a MOTION to make application to the Corps of Engineers for a lease on land for a ball park. Motion SECONDED by Councilman Dalton. Motion PREVAILED by the following vote: ' Ayes: Councilmen Thompson, Benedict, Dalton and Pirkle. Noes : None i � 227 Councilman Dalton made a MOTION to approve City Manager Floy � Ezell's recommendation to advance Officer Bill McLain to the position of Seargent in the Police Department.
