? On the 8th day of July, 1969, at 7:30 P.M. , the City Council
of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in a call meeting at the
City Hall with the following members present :
Willis Pirkle Mayor �
Doil Dalton . )
Lee Thompson ) Councilmen
Tommy Eidson )
G. S. Benedict )
Mayor Pirkle called the meeting to order and gave the invocation. �!
The purpose of the meeting was to appoint a City Councilman to
fill the vacancy on Place 5.
Councilman Eidson made a MOTION to nominate A1 Harwell for
Councilman, Place 5. Councilman Thompson made a motion that
nominations cease and that A1 Harwell be elected by acclaimation.
Motion SECONDED by Councilman Dalton. Motion PREVAILED by the
I following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Dalton, Benedict , Thompson and Eidson.
Noes : None

� Mr. A1 Harwell was telephoned and requested to come to the meet- �;
� ing. Mr. Harwell accepted the appointment of Councilman, Place
5 and City Manager Floy Ezell gave him the oath of office.
Councilman Eidson made a motion to appoint Phil Parker as a
member of the Planning and Zoning Commission. Motion SEQONDED
by Councilman Thompson . Motion PREVAILED by the fol•lowing vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Eidson, Benedict , Dalton and Thompson.

Councilm�n Benedict made a MOTION to increase the salary of the �
Corporation Court Judge Dave Austin to $100.00 �er month
effective July 1, 1969. Motion SECONDED by Councilman Eidson. �
� Motion PREVAILED by the following vote:
Ryes: Councilmen Thompson, Dalton, Eidson and Benedict.
Noes: None
