COMPUTING YEARS OF SERVICE; PROVIDING A SAVINGS
CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL C}F CONFLICTING
ORDINANCE PROVISIONS .

� THEREFORE, SE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNGIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVTNE, TEXAS;

That Title l, Chapter 8 of the City Code af the City of Grapevi�e,
Texas is hereby amended to include the following section 13-A:
1-8-13-A: LQNGEVITY PAY FOR FULL TIME EMPLO�E�S;
(A) Each and every empl�yee of the City of Grapevine , Texas ,
who shall have already completed ar shall in the futu.re, comple�e
twa {2) full years of continuous service as a fuZl-�i�ne employee,
shall therea�ter receive an addi�ti.onal Three Dc�llars and na�100
�'"'""' ($3.�0) per m.anth a� langevity pay. A� each addi-�ional full yeaz
�,,; of continuous �ull-time employement i� completed, or for each
additional full year of contix�uou� fu11-�ime employment whi.ch is
already completed, said employee �hall receive an adciitional Twa
Dol.lars and no�100 ($2.00) per month as longevity pay, all af
which is outline in the tab2e belaw:

(B) The above described longevi�y pay schedule shall continue
in effect until the employee has completed twenty (2Q} full years
af continuous service as a full-time employee af the City af
Grapevine, Texas. Foz all cantinuous service after �aid twenty (20)
full years, longevity pay will continue at the rate established for

� the twentieth (20th) year.
(C) All such longevity pay is ta be paid to al1 quali�ying
employees in a lump sua,n on the first (lst) day of December o�
each year.
(D} In camputing yeaxs of service, total contin�;ou� full-time
emplaymen� with the City o� Grapevine, Texas , is ta be taken into
accoun�, regardless of class af positian or department. Sreaks in
continuous full-time service with the City for required duty in the
Armed �orces of the United States are to be considered as cantinuou�
full-time emplayment far purposes of computing longevity pay.
�ECTION II
�► The terms and provisions of this ordinance sha11 be deemed to
� be severable and i� the validity of any portion of this ordinance
shall be declared to be invalid, the �ame shall not affect the
remaining por�ions of thi� ordinance,
�ECTION III
This ordinance repeals those provisians and only those provisions
of all ordinances in conflict with the provision� hereof,
