AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, TITLE 9, GHAFTER 4, SECTION 4, AS THE COUNCIL DEEMS IT NECESSARY TO MAINTAIN TRAFFIG SAFETY TO PROHIBIT THE PARKING, STANDING, OR STOPPING QF VEHICLES � ON EAST WORTH STREET AT A SPECIFIED LOCATION; �� PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF CONFLI�TING ORDINANCE PROVISIONS; PROVIDING FOR THE POSTING OF SIGNS; PROVIDING A PENALTY; PRC7VIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND DEGLARING AN EMERGENCY, BE IT QRDAINED BY THE CITY CCJUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, �> SECTION 1. That the City Cale of the �ity of Grapevine, �� Texas, Tizle 9, Chapter 4, Section 4, be, and the samr� is hereby amended by adding the following: "Parking, standing or stopping of vehicl.es is prohibited on the North side of East Worth Street from its intersection with Main Street to a point sixty-nine feet (69`) east af said intersection at all times. " SECTION 2, This ordinance repeals those provisions and only those provisions of all ordinances in conflicct with the provision� hereof. �f� SECTION 3. The City Manager is hereby dire�ted to cause apprapriate signs to be posted at reasonable intervals ta appriase the public of the prahibitions of this oxdinance and giving nota.ce thereof. SECTTON 4, Any person violating or failing to comply with any provisions of this ordinance shall be fined upon conviction, not less than One Dollar ($1. 00) nor more than Two Hundred Dollars ($200. 00) and each day any violation of non-compliance continues shall constitute a separate offense. SEGTIQN S. It is hereby declared to be the intention of the City � Council of the Gity of Grapevine that the sections, paragraphs, sentences, �� clauses and phrases of this ordinance are severable and any phrase, c].ause, �entence, paragraph or section hereof should be declared unconseitutional, �uch unconstitutionality or invalidity shall not affect any of �he remaining phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs or seGtions of this ordinance, since the same would have been enacted by the Ci�y Council without the incorporation in this ordinance of any such unconstitutional or invalid phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or sectian. SECTIQN 6. The fact that the present ordinances and regulations �. of the City of Grapevine are inadequate to contral vehicles within the corporate � ., limits of the Gity of Grapevine, creates an emergency for the immediate preservation of the public business, property, health, safety� and general welfare of the pubiic which requires that this ordinance sha11 become effective from and after the date of its passage as provided by the Charter af the City of Grapevine, and it is accordingly so ordained.
