HomeMy WebLinkAbout1965-08-17 Regular Meeting August 17, 1965 The City Council met in regular session on the above date those present were Mayor Woods, Hldermen Benedict, Pirkle , Huber and Parker. Alderman Vandeventer being absent. The minutes of the previous meeting was read and approved as read. The council employed Nabby Thompson as a fir�man and rasied Mrs Laura A11en �s salary to �250.00 per month when she begin to work at the new building as dispatcher. A motion by Alderman Pir�le seconded by Alderman Benedict �or the city to start negvtiating with the City of Dallas for water from Lake Grape�ne . r�otion carried by Alderman Parker, Huber, Pirtle and Benedict voting yes with no noes. The connci 1 appointed Mr. W. W. Simmons to s�xacic�xaa� serve on the Planning and Zoning Board f or the City of Grapevine. A motion byAlderman Parker , seconded by Alderman Pirkle to approve the final plat for Mr. C. W. Carlson �s "Canterberry Village", including restrictions of the area. Motion carried by Aldermen Parker, Huber, Pirkle, B��edict voting yes with no noes. A motion by Alderman Pirkle, seconded by Alderman Huber to approve the revised property line change on the plat for lots 32 and 33 in the Gibbs Addition. Motion carried by Aldermen Benedict, Pirkle , Huber and Parker voting yes with no noes. A motion by Alderman Pirkle , seconded by Alderman Parker to annex 3 acres of land in the BBB E� CRR 5urvey along �jnters Chapel Road, bel onging to CHS Investment Corp, by Aaxaticx Ordinance 65-12. Motion carried by a��xxaticagx�C�axvci��� aldermen Benedict, Pirkle , Huber and Parker voting yes with no noes. Complete Ordinance on file in the official Ordinance Book of the City of Grapevine. A motion by 1�lderman Benedict, seconded by Alderman Pirkle to give the nursing home permission to tie onto the City water and sewer if they are f�s�ic� inside the city or pay double rates if they are outside due to inproper zoning. Motiort carried by Aldermen Parker , Huber, Pir��e and Benedict voting yes with no noes. Permission was given by the council for Mr. D�ve Clemons to move his garage from his property along Wall street to his property ort Soi�th Ball Street if all ordinances are conformed to. A total fee for Mr. A. G. Simrr�ons 1�dditior� if they want gar�gge pick-up will be �10.5Q per month for one pickup each week for as many as seven (7) houses in the additior�.
