The minutes of the previous meeting was read and approved as read.
The Planning and Zoning Board recom:nended to the counci 1 that
Lots 1 and 2 in Block 11 of the Bellaire Addition be zoned frmm
'tA" Dwelling to "B" Dwelling. Also recor�mended that a tract of land ,
approximately 2 acres, in the B.B. B. & C.R.R. Survey ad,joining
Minters Chapel Road be zoned from "A" Dwellling to "C&D" Dwelling .
A raotion by Alderman Pirkle , seconded by Alderman Vandevneter to
accept the Zoning Boa�"ds recommendation and zone Lots 1 & 2 in Block
11 of the Bellaire Additfon to "B" Dwelling. Also to zo ne approximate ;
2 acres of land in the B.B.B. 8 C.R.R. Survey to "C-D" Dwelling ,
this ts the site for the Brookhollow Nurseing Home along Minters
Chapel Road. Motion carried by Aldermen Parker, Vandeventer,
H. uber, Pirkle and Banedict voting yes with no noes.
A motion by Aldaman Huber, seconded by Alderman Benedict to set
the 1965 Tax rate at $1 .00 pe� �100.00 valuation , also to accept
the proposed Budget for 1965-1966. The tax rate set by Ordinance
6s-13. Motion carried by Aldermen Parker, Vandeventer, Huber,
Pirkle and BenEd3ct voting yes with na noes.
Discussion was given on appointing 15 people to serve on the
Charter Commission.
A motion by Alderman Vandeventer, seconded by Alderman Pirkle
to appoint Parish and Murrell , Auditor.s, to audit the City records
f or the year 1964-65. Motion carried by Alderman Benedict, Pirkle,
Huber , Vandeventer and Parker voting yes with no noes.
A motion by Alderman Pirkle , seconded by Alderman Huber to annex
Peach street from its intersection ��ith Hall street west to itis
intersectibn with N. Scribner street.: By Ordinance No. 65-14.
Motion carried by Alderman Parker, Vandeventer, Huber, Pirkle,
and Benedict voting yes with no noes.
A motion by Alderman Pirkle , seconded by Alderman Huber to annex
the Tillery Property along the north side Peach 5Treet by Ord.
65-15. Motion carried by Alderman Benedict, Pi�kle, Huber,
Vandeventer and Parker voting yes with no noes.
Replatting of the Hill property, Industri�l area, council agreed
to consider changing the street location when it was to be black
topped by Hill , or at the time of black topping the street.
