Mayor Johnson, Alderme� Harwell , Deacon, Pirkle, Woods, and Parker. Jim Hancock acting as Secretary in the absence of Floy Ezell . Minutes of the previous rne�ting read and approved as read. A motion by Alderman Harwell , seconded by Alderman Woods that the fol2owing Ordinance be passed and approved as Ord. No. 6Z-1 AN l7RDINHNCE PROHIBITING DANCING IN CAFES AND RESTAUR�NTS WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS. MAKING THE SAME A MISDEMEANOR PUNIS�HABLE BY FINE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Motion carried unanimously. A motion by Alderman Harweil , seconded by Alderman Woods th�t water sold to Silverlake Enteprises from the City�s Distribution � system would be at the customary double rates as per the City�s Water rate ordinance. Motion carried unanimously. It was further agreed that the water lines installed by Silverlake Ente rpri se s wi l l be the proper ty of the Ci ty of Grapevi ne. Thi s i s in the Park area. Alderman D�acon motioned that in the b�st interest of the City of Grapevine, the City will not sell or give autay any part of the City�,s allotment for water in the Grapevine Lake, motion was seconded by Alderman Pirkle, motion carried. Mr. Dan Guest was present in behalf of Mr. H. L. Arnold to request tht the properb� 8s=m��C formerly occupied by Mid-Way Trailflrs be re-zoned from G-Local Business to the appropriate zoni,r�g clas��- fication to allow manufacturing of Aircraft Componet p�rts. The Council exp��ined the necessary procedure for the rezoning of property in the city. One requirement is a letter to the City requesting the rezoning which Mr. Guest said be will present. Ir� res,�'srd to the annexation of the road across the Grape�dne Dam to the Dentnn County line the City Council ruled that it would be of no benefit to the City to annex the road only. However the Council instructed the City Secretary to write the Mayor of the City of Flower Mound to this effect and also invite the citizens of Flower Mound Community to partition the City of Grapevine asking to be brought within the City limits of Grapevite. (Mayor Bob Rheudasil , Rt. 1 , Lewisville, Texas % of Dr. Wilkerson) ; ( � F � , i �: � A motion by Alderman Deacnn to award the contract for erecting a chain link fence around the Water Treatment Plant to Cyclone Fence Co. , who was second low bidder, in the amount of �3�,085.00, in lieu of the fl'����M��3C Bluebonnet Fence Co. going out of business. Motion was seconded by Alderman Harwell , and the motion carried. Mayor Johns�on reported to the council that the delay on th� con- struction of the French Drain System for the filtration plant building is due to the difficul� in finding the sp�cified pipe for the dra3n. It has now been located in Houston and will be here soon. The Council decided to withhold payment of Natkin and Co. current estimate of work done at the filt�ation plant until the roof on the plant building and the lift station building has been repaired. A motion by Alderman Harwell , seconde� by Alderman Deaa;n for the City Secretary to write Mrs Dr. Allison in behalf of the Wornen�s Club and explain to her th�t the purchasing of the Miles Clinic by the City to be used as a Ladies club would be illegal and not to the best interest of the Tax payers. Motion carried. A motion by Alderman Deacon, seconded by Alderman Pirkle, for the City not to participate ia Fund Campaign of the Tarrant Connty Water Shed board. Motion:�arried. In regard to request of the Police Ch�f Allen concerning speed aones and stop signs the council was in agreement that ch�nges are in order. Mayor Johnson was to contact the Safety Engineer of the Texas Highway Depa rtment so he and Mr. Allen may make recommendations to the safety engineer in reference to these requests. Rev. A. E. Stephens was yresent to request that the alley running East and West on the south side of the Assetnbly of God Church Property be aba.ndoned, and that the Church will buy half oP all of it. Action was tabled pending information regarding utilities possibly located in this alley. Dr� E. L. Lancaster wss present to inform the Co�ncil of the Texas Department of Public Health��::policies regardin�j a master plan for smaller cities approaching rapid growth and development. The Health Department will pay up to 2/3 of the cost of the surveys and recommendations for a master pian. Action on a Tennis Court for the City Park was tabled until next Meeting.
