Those present were Mayor Johns►n, Aldermart Woods, Pirkle, Parker, �eacart and Harwell, The mfnutes of the previous meeting was read and approved as read. A motion by A2derman Deacon, seconded by Alderman Pirkle, d�a� to the trafffc investigation heretofore made as authorized by the provisions of Section S of Article 827A, Vernon �s Texas Penal Code, the fal2owir�g prima facie speed Iimits hereafter indicated far v�hicles are hereby determir►ed and declared reasanable and safe; and such speed limits are hereby fixed at 44 �!.Y.H an Laap 24 from the intersectian of State Highway 121 to the intersectiQn of Loop 2C} and Highway 2it� as per ord#nance No. 6_2_!� . Motion carried. � Mr. Mack Will�amson, owner of the property 3ust east of Sky Harbor addition and extension of South Main street, has suggested to the Mayor that he will dedicate a 50 � right way for three streets, the conti nuati on of Hanger, Vi ne and Danie 1 s east to the new South lU�.ain street if the City will curb and gutter and black top a 27t street opening onto the South Main extension. The council would like for Mr. Wiliiamson to be contacted and see if something could be worked out so as to open these streets to S. Main, to heip with the traffic and also with the drainage fran Airline Dr. A motion by Alderman Harwell , seconded by Alderman Deacon to employ Parrish and Murrell Auditors to audit the City records for the year beginning 6ctober 1 , 1961 thru September 30, 1962. Motion carried. A motion by Alderraan Yirkle, se mnded by Aldermart Woods to accept Wm. Cameron p�an and issue a permit to thern for the construction of a frame building to be displayed on Main St. at the corner of Franklin street if this does not effect the insurance rates in the City. Also this land to be used for a parking lot for Cameron�s employees. This building is to be a temporary building for shaw only, no water, sewer or gas to be to the �uilding. Motion carried. Grapevine Roofing Co. submitted a bid on re�oofing the Civic Center building using 5 Yly feit with asphalt with pea gravel for a total pri ce of $450.00 A motion by Alderman Deamnn, seconded by Alderman Pirkle to authorize the Mayor and other councilmen to inspect the building and see the condition of the roof and if needed to be replace to go ahead and h ave the work done if a guarantee is given on the rooP. Motion carried. The insurance on the Civic Center buiTding was to be looked into. J. B. Daniels submitted a bid to build a council table with doors on the back side complete less the painting for a sum of �3l�5.00. A motion by Alderman Pirkle, seconded by Aiderman Woods to have J. B. Daniels to build the table at the above price. Motion carried. No further business meeting ad,journed. cr a
