The mir�utes of the previous meetittg was read and appraved as read. � mation by x2derman Deacon seconded by xlderman Harwe32 to pass and approve Resolution R63-1 calling an election to be held �gril 2, 2963, same being the first Tues�ay in �pri2, for the purpose, of electing a Mayor and �ldermen f or rlaces 1 and 2. Motion carried . H motion by Nlderman Karwell, secanded by ,�lderman rirkle to annex the H3ghway #1�7 right-»of-way from our present City c.imits at the " intersectian of Ba2I street and Highway #157 to County Road 3120, ( as ord3nance No. 63-1j , mation carried . lliscuss3on and study was given on adopting an updated buildin;g permit ordinance, but r�o actian was taken at this time, as more study was tc� be given on this ordinance. Nn vrdinance regulating the garbage pick-up service, type of cantainers, requiring lids f or the co ntainers, etc. was gone over and some changes ir� sect£on � and � was to be made. xfter these correctinnsare made, Hlderman Harwell made a motion to accept, pass, ar�d approve this �rdinance as urdinance No. b3-2, this motian was seconded by t�lderman rirkl�, motic� n carried. The re-zonirtg applicat3on for lots 6 and '7 in Blcack � of the Hilltop xdditiat2 was discusse�. The �oning Bt�ard held a public meeting c�n December 27, 1�62 but decision could be reaci�. Severa2 prope�ty owners expressed thier oppostion to the rezaning as it might damage their praperty. Mr. L. ,.. rost, awner of the Iots that requested the rezoning, described the type of canstruction he planned to bu� ld and th� si�e of the apartments he had in mind to construct. This property is zoned �c+r „B�' Residential ar�d the proposed new High Schoal is to be built about one block away. { �. � � � �� Mr. John Telford ask the Council to approve the plan of the �nchor diss�lving the partnership and forming a closed corporation. �s motion by �lderman Deacon, seconded by Alderman rarker to authorize the �nchor to form a corporation subject to the approval of the Corps of Engineers. Motion carried. Discussion was given on what action Mr. H. L. Hrnold has taken to help correct some of the complaints of the property owners in the operafilon of Interstate Foundries in the Bellaire �ddition. It was suggested that Mr. Kaker be contacted as a property owner in the Bellaire Hddi�.ion and try to get some ideas fron � him on ,just what the property owners might want in some of the correcticn for Mr. Hrnold to a�ake around his foundry operati�on. Mr. Davis of the Corps of Engineers was to be contacted and get his ideas on the City helping build a ball park in the Silver �.ake rark area for the City of Grapevine use in Little League Baseball rlay. Can the city place locks on this park and the lights and restrict it to Little Legue Baseballj Discussi�n on the re-organization of the City �.�a3ta►:�,�� by using a City Ma.nager form of operation ,was gone over and more study was to be given to this. Hlderman Woods discussed the requsst of an industry want�ng a build- ing on the Lake so as to use the water in the test of their manu- factured goods . No further business meeting ad,journed . Y�: ry
