The City Council met in a called session nn the above: date for the purpose
of reviewing the application of Mr. Dorris Cummings and Mr. Clyde Cheatham
to work in the Water Dep artment, Street department, etc. . Those present were
Mayor Woods, Aldermen Vandevent�r, Pirkle, Huber, $�d�a# Benedict, and Parker.
Aldermmn Pirkle m�de a motion that was seconded by Alderman Vandeventer to hire
Clyde Cheatham with a beginnin g salary of $300.00 per mon�h to work in the
Water,, S�t�gt, and other departments o� the city, motion carried, bq Alderman
Benedict, Huber, Vendeventer, and Pirkle voting yes with no noes. Aldermam .
Parker being absent.
A motion by Alderman Huber, seconded by Alderman Benedic t to rgise George
Dearing*s salary to �300.00 per month effective June 1, 1963. Motion carried
bya vote of Alderman Parker, Vandeventer, Huber, and Beneditt voting yes with
no noes. Aldersan Pirkle being absent.
Hail and wind storm insurance was to be considered for tt�e Fire Station.
No further business meetin� adjourned. -
