August 10, 1963
The City Counci2 met in a call session on the above date those present
were Mayor Woods, Aldermen Bene�ict, Parker, and Huber. Aldermen
Vandeventer and Pir$le being absent. The meeting was called for the
purp4se of conferring with the officials of Texas Power 8 Light Co.
in reference to electric rates and the city placing an additional �
chage of 2� on the gross income from industrial and municipal custmers
of Texas Power 8� Light Co, in the City Limits of the �ity of Grapevine.
A moti �n by Alderman Benedict , seconded by Alderman Parker to appoint
Alderman Huber as acting secretary in the absent of Secretary E2e11.
Moti�n carried by Alderman Parker, Benedict, and Huber voting yes with
no noes.
A motinn by Alderman Parker, seconded by Alderman Benedict to accept
and adopt Ordinance #63-9, imposing an additinnal charge on Texas
Power and Light Co. in an amount equaling 2% of the gross revenues
from sale of electricty from Industrial , Governmental , and municipal
business in the City of Grapevine. Moti �n carried by Aildermen
Benedict, Parker, and Huber voting yes Rith no noes.
A motion by Alderman Benedict, seconded by Alderman Parker to accept
the proposed rate schedules of Texas Power 8 Light Co. to become
effective with the corapanies billing period, September 1963. The
proposed rates are on file with Texas Power 8 Ligth Co. franchise as
Book C-63-181 , motion carried by Aldermen Benedict, Farker, and Huber
voting yes with no noes.
No further business meeting adjourned.
