Alderman Pirkle being absent. Minutes of the previous meeting was read and apprvved as read. The Planning and Zoning Boarct recommended that Mrs Dickfs property be permapently zoned "G" Local Business District. A motiort by Alderman Vandeventer, seconded by xlderman Parker to accept the Planning and 2oning B�rds recommendation and zone Mrs Dicks property "G" Local Business. Mation carried by Aidermen Parker, Vandeventer, Huber and Benedict voting yes with no noes. The Pldnnin and Zoning Board recommended that C. L. Chambers L.ots �,4,5,�,7 �nd 8 in Block 10� of Coilege Heights addition be rezoned from "A" Dweiling to "C-D" Dweliing. A motion by Aiderman Benedict, seconded by Aldtrman Parker to acc�pt the Planning and 2oning Baards recommendation and rezone Lots 3,l�,5,6,7, and 8 in B1 xk 100 of the �ollege Hei�hts addition from "A" Dweliing to "C-D" Dwelling. Motion carried by Aldermen Benedict, Huber, Vandeventer and Parker voting yes with no noes. Ths Planning and Zoning Board recommended that Lot 1�9D in the A. F. Leonard Survey belon�ing to John Francisco be rezoned from "G" Local Business to "J-K Industrial. A motion by Alderman Vandeventer, seconde�d by Alderman Benedict to accept the Zoning Boards recommendation and rezone Lot 49D in A. F. Leonard Survey f rom "G" Local Busine�s to"J-K" Industrial. �otion carried by �+ldermen Parker, Huber, Vandeventer and Benedict voting yes with no noes. A motio� by Alderman Benedict, seconded by Alderman Huber to authorize the Mayor and City Secretary to approach the Connty Commissioners Court requesting that the extension of South Main Street to the Old Euless Road. Motion carried by �ldermen Hub�r, Vandeventer, Parker and Benedict voting yes with no noes. Council authorized the expenditures of money in the Silver Lake Park area to do some improveing on the Park Area. A motion by Alderman Benedict, seconded by Alderman Parker to adopt and pass Pro-rata Ordinance No. 64-11. Motion carried by Aiderman Parker, Vandeventer, Huber and Benedic t voting yes with no noes. Compl�te Ordinance on file in the City of Grgpevines Official Ordinance Book. 1 � A motion by Alderman Parker, seconded by Alderman Benedict that action b� deferred on request by Southwestern Telephone Co. for rate increase and Extended Area Service until conferences with and study by Engineering firm drawing N�ster Plan so° that the Telephone Co. request can be considered in light of Master Plan S�udy. Motion carried by Aldermen Benedict, Huber, Vandeventer and Parker voting yes with no noes. ; A petition was presented from Mrs W. R. Boyd asking that approximate S� acres of her land be brou ght into the city, this land would include around her house and including h�r house. A motion by Aldersnan Huber, seconded by Alderman Benedict to pass, adopt Ordin�►nce No. 64-12 annexing the land that has been petitianed by Mrs W. R. Boyd. Motion carried by Aldermen Pa.irker, Vandeventer, Huber and Benedict voting yes with no noes. A petition by Nancy R. Keliey was presented asking that her land in the Southwest corner of the Boyd farm be brought into the city. A motion by Alderman Benedic t, seconded by Alderman Huber to pass and adopt Ordinance No. 6l�-13 annexing Lhe 1.64 acres of land of Miss Nancy R• Keil�y into the City. Motior� carried by Aldermen - Benedict, Huber, Vandeventer and Parker voting yes with no noes. A motion by Alderman Huber seconded by Alderman B�nedict to run an adve�tisment in the local papers a�king for application for work in the water and street departments. �Iotion carried by Aldermen Benedict, Huber, Vandeventer and Parker voting yes with no noes. The council discussed having addit�ional painting of a Mu�tang painted on the overhead water tower but no action was taken at this time to have the work done. Mr. Cline with the Water T'ank Maint�nance Co. had asked ��+OO.00 for painting four additional mustangs on the tower. ` No further business meeting ad�journed. � � ty c e ary Mayor
