HomeMy WebLinkAbout1964-08-18 Regular Meeting August 18, 1964 ' The City Council met in regular session on the above date those present were Mayor Woods, Aldermen Parker, Vandeventer, Pirgle � and Benedict. Alderman Huber being absent. The minutes of the previous meeting was read and approved as read. The City Attorney advised that the city was not liable for Lema Van Zandt in�ury as it was not due to any negligence on the city�e part. The city authori2ed the payfiant of the physical examination for Mr. Lema Van Zandt in the amount of �35.00 The City Council asked that the llrive Inn operator be contacted and asked to place trash receptacles around their piace of business so as to help keep the pa per and other trash f rom blowing around and onto the ad�oinidg property owners property this will also help keep our city looking cleaner. A revised plat of Block 2-A in Dellwood Acres was approved by the council by a motion by Alderman Pirkle, seconded by Alderman Benedict. Motion carried by Aldermen Benedic�, Pirkle, Vandeventer and Parker voting yes with no noes. A motion b� Alderman Pirkle, seconded by Alderman Vandeventer to approve the installation of a 295 Watt surburban street light near t�e B� ethal Baptist Church op Hilltop Drive . Motion carried by Alderman Parker, Vandeventer, Pirkle and Benedict voting yes with no noe s. A raotion by Alderman Benedict, seconded by Alderman Pirkle to replace H. V. Tate as poundmaster with Don Hall and his son, effective September i , 196t�. Motion carried by Alderman Benedict, Pirkle, Vandeventer and Parker voting yes with no noes.
