October 20, 1964
The City Council met in regular session on the above date those
present were Mayor Woods, Aldermen Benedict, Pirkle , Huber and
Parker. Alde:rman Vandeventer being absent.
The minutes of the previous meeting was read and approved as read.
Discussi �n was given on securing land for a City Park.
Mr. E� lis and Mr. Anderson of Burroughs Corp. demostrated a Burroughs
Business Machine to the council .
A letter from Freese, Nichols and Endress, consulting engineers,
regarding drainage east and west of Ridge Road was read and discussed
by the council but no action was taken at this time .
A motion by Alderman Pirkle, seconded by Alderman Benedict to
authorize the ARayor and Secretary to execute a Quit Claim Deed to
Cameron Lumber Co. in the sura of �500.00 for Terrell Street from
Hudgin Street south to the St. Louis Southwestern Railway property,
approximately 2,000 Square Feet of land . Passing and approving
Ordinance #61�-,ZD abanding this street. Motion carried by Alderman
Parker, Huber, Pirkle and Baledict uoting yes with no noes.
City agreed to accept and draw up a deed for the Grapevine Independent
School District, deeding thier 1�3 interest in the Park at the
Corner of Ball and Wall street to the City mf Grapevine.
City will ask for bids on a business machine to be used in the City
Hall for utility and tax billing.
