Box 337 Grapevine, Texas Re: Tabulation of Bids Contract No. 6 Dear Mayor Johnson: Enclosed herewith please fi.nd seven copies of the Tabulation of Bids reeeived for Miscellaneous Water and Sewer System Improvements re- ferred to as Contract No. 6. These bids were opened at 2:00 P. M. January 10, 1961, at the City Hall. A total of six bids were received. A summary of these bids is as follows: Cullum Construction Co. $ 24,159•75 McHone Construetion Co. 26,1�3.00 Crausbay Construction Co. 27,699•5� Rhodes Construction Co. 28,012.50 Steed Construction Co. 28,903.90 Natkin & Company 35�25�•z5 � � The low bid was submitted by Cullum Construction Company, Inc. of � Dallas, in the amount of $24,159•75• We recommend that Contract No. � 6 be awarded to Cullum Construetion Company on the basis of their low bid. It is noted, however, that it i� our understanding that the City of Grapevine is having some difficulty in obtaining right-of-way for a portion of this project across private property. The City may elect to defer the awarding of this contract until all of the right-of-way is obtained. The Contract Documents provide tha.t the City may retain the bids for thirty days after January lOth. After this period of time all bidders have the right to withdraw their proposal, should the bidder so elect. After the City has mad.e an award of this contract we will prepare con- formed Contraet Documents for �xecution by the Contractor, Surety Compar�y and the City.
