Alderman Hayward being absent, Mr. Tom Tatum met with the Council to discuss the dog situation, and ask that something be done.about the dogs around town. The City will r • �, iA paper that .he dog Ordinance , wil ' I be enforced from now on. Also a dart gun is to be rented to to used to'catch the dogs running at large. Ashton at 822 E. Wall strett mtt with the council and asked that something be done so he may be able to get in and out of his drive way until the curb and gutter can be put down at his house. The _,a Councilassured r, Ashton temporary be put Matthewsin at his place until the curb and gutter work is done. The final plat of Ridge Crest Estates was presented to the Council. The Zoning Board has approved this and a motion by Alderman Harwell seconded by Alderman • accept the final plat of Ridge 'eest Estates as presented of Block 1, 2, and 3. Motion carried. A motion by Alderman Deacon, seconded by Alderman la well, to set up the following street specifications for replacing City Streets to the original condition, form, and shape: Street excavation will carry a minimum charge of $10.00 and a maximum charge of 11.00 per running foot, for digging into the streets, wbicAever is greater. Also anyone digging into the streets will be required to back fill the ditch with sand jetted to within 6" of t4e street level and they will not be Permitted to use any of dirt removed back in the ditch. Also they notify the City just as soon as this is done. City will put the gravel an black top in place upon completion of the above recuirments. !Wtion carried. A motion by Alderman Matthews, seconded by Alderman Harwell to aband the alley in Block 30 of the Gra pevineSurvey, between lots 2 and 3, tis in between Robert Stark's and L. T. Lemmons, and to revert back to the abutting property owners if no utility line is in this alley. Motion carried. Two bids for laying the water and sewer lines to the Waldrop Heights factory site was received and are as follows: Charlie :-gill_ ---- ---- ,---- $11500.00 Willard Jordan----_--------- $17468050 This is composed of the City furnishing the 6" cast iron water pipe, the 6" cl;y sewer line pipe, manhole rings and covers, fire hydrate, 6" cross or tee, and the 6" gate valve for the water line. The City will furnish 7ravel or sand reouired for backfilling in crossing tve streets. All work to be done accordin- to City Specifications and requirements. 7, A motion by Alderman Deacon, seconded by Alderman Kaker to a authorize the Mayor to let tne contract to the person who may comply with all of the City requirement. Floyd Deacon we have made an additional break- down of the construction cost to serve Block 2 in the Dellwood Acres Addition. in an earlier letter we indicated that the construction cost to provide a 6" service from Station 0+00 to Station 7+15 as shown on the contract plans for Contract No. 6 would be $1,694.25. 10. Deacon requested that we further divide this segment of the line into two parts, that section of the line across the Lowe property and, that part across William Cameron's property in Block 2.
