The City Council met in regular session on the abo�e date those
present were Mayar 2ip Johns4n, A2derman Harwe2l, Matthews, Deacan
Kaker, and Hayward.
The minutes of the previous meeting was read and appraved as read.
Mr. Bab Nicho2s met with the Caunci2 to discuss Cu21um Constructibn
�o. continueing to 1ay water and sew�r lines �or the Deacans in "
De2lwood Acres and the Lancasteris in Ridge Crest Estates, although
the sewer line will cost .1��� a L. F. more than the contract they have ,
with the City. The developers are paying far this, and if the
developers agrees ta this price and place the money required, the
estimated amount, with the City, then the City will authorize
Cu32um Construction Co. ta go ahead and do this wark.
A motion by A2derman Harwell , seconded by Alderman �atthews, t4
contact the Deacants and the Lancasterxs and ask them to place the
maney with the City, the estimated amount to d� this work,and the
�ity will then authori2e Cullum Construction Co. to da this work �
, for them. Motian carried, Total ama�nt of the estimated cost for
the Deacon � s in Block 8 for the sewer is �2,b13. 33. The total
estimated cost for the Lancaster �s water and sewer lines in Ridge
� Crest Estates and along Ridge Road is �10, 807. 20.

the petition for annexation for Frank and Emma Robbins pr�perty into
the Cfty of Grapev�, motio n carried,

The City Council approved the removal af the old sink or tubs in the
Civic Center. The City wi21 nat interfer or take part irt the operatian
of the Civic Center with the group that has been organized to operate
the Civic Center,
A motion by Alderman Kaker, seconded by Alderman Hayward ta authori2e
A2derman Deacon to praeeed with the closinr� of th.e alley north of
Mrs °Sylvai B�rtan and if a sewer or water line is in the a11ey a
lflt easement wil2 be re�uired before a deed can be made for thfs
alley. Motion carried. Ordinance No. 61-1�
The City Park is have mare dirt hauled in befare the dirt can be
spread ar 2eveled out �6or public use.
Insurance on employees was discussed and the council will continlue
ta carry the accident pc�l.icy flrt the paliceman at this t�me. A3.sa
the secretary to contact several insurance companies have them to
submit their group plan fc�r ��i�S��t�X a hospita2ization,

A motion by Aldeim an Hayward, seconded by Alderman Deacon to place
a "NO PARKING't sign at the Cameron Lumber Co. exit on Franklin
Street, motion carried. -
Eckley Street extension south, across the �ailroad tracks into
Sunshine Harber addition and opening into Ea.sy Street was discussed.
� The Presby�erian Church has tentatively agreed to donation the
land for the street to the railread tracks, and the Box family ,
has agreed to pay for one-half of the cost of paving this street
to the railroad and putting curb and gutter on the east side of
this street. Mr. Hill of Sunshine Harber was to be contacted
about a lot in Sunshine Harbor for the street to open into Easy
Street tn �o�� 10. Also the approximate cost of opening this
street was to be presented to the Councii for thier approval.
A list of persons the council believed not to be financially
able to pay for their garbage pick-up service was gone over by
the council. All persons will be billed for this garbage servie
but the folmowing list of person who may not the have the money '
to pay for this service will be given credit on their bill for
garbage charge: �

pay for Garbage service their names will submitted to the Co}�ncil
for their approval.
A motion by Alderman Matthews, seconded by Alderman Harwell to sell
the Alley that is between the properties of Mr. Cates for �90.00
as th� property has been figured and priced on the same basis as '
' , other alleyts that the City ha.s sold. Motion carried. Alder man
Kaker did not vote.
A mot�on by Alder man Kaker, seconded by Alderman Harwell to have
the City Attorney, Mr. Hines , to draw up an resolution calling an '
eldtion to assess each property owner for cubb and gutters around
their property. This election is be ,just as soon as possible.
Motion carried.
