The City Council met i� regular session on the above date those
presnt were Mayor Tip Johnson A2dermen Harwe2l , Deacon, Kaker,
and Hayw'ard. Alderrnan Matthews beinq absent .
The minutes of the previous meeting was read and approved as read .
A mation by Alderman Kaker, seconded by Al�erman Hayw`ard to use
64� af the current 90� market valve to assess tax �s for year 1961 ,
motion carried.
Raw acreage ar land not p2atted that is situated away fram the
Cityts utilities will be charged a minimum tax of $1 .00 ar at . 15�
per acre. This is land that is a gaad ways f rom the City praper.
A motian by Alderman Kaker , seconded by Alderman Hayward to accept
the Street dedication of the exten�ion of Eckl�y street sauth fram
Walnut 5t�22� to the railraad, by the Presbyterian Church, motion

A motifln by A2derman Hayward, seconded by Alderman I�eacon tc� �pprave
the nlans of Silver Lake Inc. to construct Rest Rooms in their area,
w3:th the final approval of the Corps of Engineers, motion earried.
� Cc�unci l d�cided nat to sel l the �fl � al ley south of Jim Barnes house ,
due to a 4" water line in the alley and also that may be opened one •
day in the future far a street to that section of the city.
Sewer lines to Lakewood Acres was discussed and Council wauld like
ta find out more from the owners ,�ust what they have �n mind in
reference to canstructing the lines to serve that area.
A list of Garbage custamers asking to be exempt from the Garbage
service was presented ta the councii . The council approved Mrs
L. E, Furgerson and Hattie Clark to be given credit on the bil2
to take care of the Garbage charge.
Hospitalization Insurance on the e�nplcayee� was to be qone over with
the emp2oyees and then present to the council the plan that the �
. ma,jority of the employees are interested in or would like to take
part in.
