The City �ouncil met in regular session on the abave d�te those
present were �ayar Johnson, Alderman Kaker, Deacon, Mathews, Harwell
and Hayvvard.
2he m�t�utes of the previous meetfrtgs was read and approved as read.
Mr. Russei2 met with the counci2 asking that the City help him in
securing Natur�l gas servie� to his piace of business on E. aallas Rd.
He is approximately 350+�feet fram the existing gas lin.e and he wi11
have to pay the east of,, pipe and layirtg the 2ine alI c�ver �t}�� 1(}{7 �
tc� h��re the service . Also he wanted to get on the city �s sewer system.
The City wi11 ask Mr. Glover of the Lone Star Gsas Co. to met with the
cour�cil at the next regular meeting night, same being September 19, 1q61 .

The cost af Iaying the water 2ines in DeilwaQd Acres wou�.d try to
be warked out at the next meeting.
Mr. Oscar Thomas met with the council in regard bf being charged for
three water minimums at his house. The caunci2. agreed that Mr. Thomas
having only one bath room and two kitchens that the minimum charge
for water service will be two minimums. He was to be given credit
on his current bil2 of ane minimum or �3.OQ.

Request for stop signs at Texas and Wood st. �nd Texas and Austin St.
� was to be stzrveyed by the Police department tQ determine if the signs
are needed.
Trash Ordinance �7-1� will be enfor�ced if the property own�rs do not
keep their lats cleaned and mowed, A ten day notice will be given
each ane and then the ardinance will he enforced.
The approximatE c4st of Iaying the 21n casing under the new highway
loop as quoted by Mc►rgatt E� Co. , the company now putting ln the pipe
for 'Sauthwestern �onstructian Go. are as follow�:

A motion by Alderman Harwell , seconded by Alderman Hayward to put
the caseing under the highway if the proposed sewer lines will take
care of the area south of the new loop. Moti�n carried.
Mr. Bob Nichols was to be contacted about the elevationsand have
Mr. Nichols explain ,just what area will be served by these crossing.
Southwestern Construction Co. ask the City �s permission to get water
from Lake Grapevit�e. The City would like a letter of approval from
the Park Cities in Dallas and the Cor�c �?f Engineers approving this
before they would consider approving it: :� .
Fire Chief Greener met with the Council asking that some arrangements '
be made to build a new Fire Station. Council assured Mr. Greener
thtt they would try to work out someething or some way to try to
build a new station.
The City reguest that all firemen meet the state requirements as set
out ir� the Firemants Relief and Retirement progr�.m. These requirements
are as follows: Each fireman will make at least 25% of all fires, and
attend at least 403� of a l i dri l l s.
A letter was to be written to the fire chief stating th�t the City
will require each fireman to make at least 25� of aIl fires and !�Offi
of all meeting and drills in each six month period. All fireman�s
that do not meet these requirements wi 11 Y}e dropped fror� the firemants
roll . A cvmplete report on each fireman will be turned in each six
months to the City Seceetary, and no fireman th�t has been dropped from
the rolls will be reinstated unless approved by the City Council .
