The City Council met in regular session on the above date those
present were Mayor Tip Jahnsc�n, a2dermarx Ahatthews, K$ket'� Deacon,
and Hayward. Alderman Harwell being absent.
The minutes of the previous meeting was read and approved.
Mr. Higgens met with �.he council to offer his help in l�ying the
6" water Iine fram N;: _Main tc� the 1Varthside Addition approximately
410 � with his tractor and men. A2so he agreed tt� Iay 3� a
2'� water line fram the end of the 6" line tc� the ncarth end of
Washington street.
A motion by A2derman Kaker, sect�nded by A3derman Deacon for the
city to l�y a 6" water 1ine, with Mr. Higgens help, east from
N, Mair street ta the Northside Additian apprflximately l�10 � and
put a �ire hydrate on the ea�t end of the line with the understand-
ing that Mr. Higgens will ruri and lay a two inch w�,ter line to
the nort}� end 'of Washington Street and each h�use will�put on a
seperate water meter and pay their �70.00 water tap charge.

x '� Mr. Glenn McWhirter of Fresse, Nichols, and Endress met with the
cauncil ta report on the progress of the water�, treatment plant and
tha t Natkin and Co. had been informed on ,�ust�„the City expects
irt rep2aceing the damaged equiprnent and that the city expects
supervision af replacein� this equ�ment at no charge tcr the city.
Mr. McWhirter said that Natkin E� Ca. was irta greement ta this.
The approxirna.te date for completion of the plant will be January
2, 19b�.
A mation by A2derman Deacan, secanded by A2derman Matt�hews to
refund Mrs Max Self the amount af money she has paid for sewer
service at 227 Blevins St, as th�s house was not cannected to
the City�s sewer system in the amount of �28.�� iess the �rnfl�.nt
of the unpaid water bill that she owes th� city. The amount
to be refunded wil. �be �22.25. Also Mr. ,Ioe Bax to be refunded
��1.60 far an overcharge on his water bill. Motion �arried.
The rent to Mr. Ted Willhoite on the Libr$ry building of �65.Oq
per month will be paid until such time that some other arrange-
ments can be made,
A motian by Alderman Kaker, secgnded by Alderman Deacan ta
accept the plans of 5ilver Lake ���erprise to construet four
dupiex c�bins sub�ect ta the approval af the Carp of Engineers.
Motian carried .

Jim Hancock was to �look into the possibilities of connecting
the seven houses on East Hudgins street to the City Sewer system.
A letter was to b� written to the I .O.O.F Lodge explaining that
no garbage charge �n the water bill . Garbage operation and charges
or seperate and is operated out of the tax monies received by the
city.
Bids were received from the following companies on black topping
Ball Street and a part of Wall Street :
R. W. Gibbins, Inc.
To patch, apply a tact coat � overlay with 1�" concrete
asphalt, type "D't , crushed stone hot mix of approximately
5,000 L. F. @ �1 .49 L.F.
SRO Asphalt , Inc.
To patch, apply tact coat 8 overlay with 1�" concrete
asphalt, type "D" , crushed stone @ �1 .50 L.F.
B. J. Scott Cor� tructi �n Co.
To patch, apply a tact coat 8� overlay with 1�" concrete
asphalt , type "D" , crushed stone @, $1 .57 L.F.
Uvalde Cors truction Co.
To patch, tact coat and overl�ry with 1�" Asphaitic
concrete, City of Dallas specifications @ �1 .59 L.F.
A motion by Alderman Kaker, seconded by Alder�an Deacon to accept
the bid of R. W. Gibbins, Inc of �1 .1�9 per L.F. to overlay Ball
street and part of Wall street. Motion carried.
