The City Caurtcil met in regular session an the above date those
presents were Mayor Johnson, Alderman Kaker, Matthews, H�rwell ,
and Hayward. Alderman Deacort bein g absent.
The minutes of the previaus meeting was read and apprc�ved as read.
A petition for aanexation was presented to the council by Wickes
Lumber Co. containing 2b.905 acres in the E. Moore Survey. A
motion by Alderman Kaker, seconded by alderman Matthews to accept
the petitic�n and annex� this property intc� the City. MOtion carri0

A Ietter from the Commissioners Caurt af Tarrant Courtty desiring
to know if the City wc►uld be willing to pay any part of the
sa2ary af a ful2 �ime County Fire Marshal2 and a1sc� willing for
the Caunty Fire Marshall �3�i to come into aur community for the
purpose Qf making any necessary surveys coverfng information for
Fire Insurance rates and any other related rnatters dealing with
Fir� Preve;ntion. The Council needed more time ta study this matter
and a l so to ta lk wi th our Fi re Chf ef an th i s sub�ject beft�re any
answer could be given. But the commissianers cau.rt was to be
notifi�d af this.
Counc� l ask that the zaning ardinance No,55-6 be enfnrced along :
SH 121 effectiug the fruit peddler. The police departraent was to
see th�►t the c,rdinance was enforced.

A motion by Alderman Kaker, seconded by Alderman Hayward to
accept the Hospitilization plan of the Republic National Life
Insurance Co. on the city employees with the city paying 2/3
of the premimum on each employee. Motion carried.
Thanksgiving and Christmas Day was set as legal holidays for
the Garbiage Department.
A motion by Alderman Harwell , seconded by Alderman Kaker to have
Texas Power � Light Co. to replace the wooded poles along Main st.
with mPtal poles and the city will pay rent of 50r� per month for
each pale. Also TPL to eliminate as many wir�s crossing the street
as possible. Motion carried.
Bids on tunneling under SH 114 for the water line gaing to the '
Wickes Lumber Co. was gone over.
Bowles & Edens Supply Co. - To furni sh 12�r - 14 Ga. Corrugated
steel casing plus the boring @ �6.75 per foot
Texas Tunneling and Boring Co. - To furnish 12" - 14 Ga.
Corrugated steel casing plus the boring @ �P.50 per foot.
A motion by Alderman Matthews, seconded by Alderman Hayward to
- accept the bid of Bowles & Edens Supply Co. for ��� per foot.
