The City Council met in a called session On August 19, 1960 at
I the First National Bank of Grapevine , those present were Mayor ,
� Ti Johnson Alderman Ed. Hayward, Floyd Deacon, and Harold
P �
� Kaker. Also present was Mr. Mason Rector of the Natkin Co.
A motian by Ed. Hayward , seconded by Floyd Deacon that the '
contractor delete from Ysis contract regarding Dooley, Texas, ,
and Wall Streets, back filling and paving replacement, as called
for in the contract; all dirt removed from ditches to be hauled ',
off and all back fill to be done wi}h sand that is to be wet ;
dawn to prevent sinking of the streets, at $3.00 per yard and no
paveme�t replacing to be done. There will be a refund from the
contract price due the city. Also the cattle guards and barb wire
fences are to�`taken out of the contract. The cattle guard called
for at the water filtering plant to be replaced with a metal gate .
This was agreeable with Mr. Mason Rector of the Natkin Co.
Motion carried.
Mayor Tip Johnson and Mr. Mason Rector was to contact Mr. Willis
Pirkle and work out a satisfactory agreement in reference to the
contractor keeping the ditches back filled so as to prevent
cattle from falling into the ditch and aiso to keep fences re-
paired and gate s closed if used by thecontractor. This is to
appl� to the work that is to be done on Mr. Willis Pirkle place
that he has leased.
