The City Council met in a call session with the Grapevine
School Board at the School . Those present were Mayor Tip
Johnson, Alderman Kaker , Hayward , and Deacon. Matthews and
Harwell being absent.
Discussion was given between the City Council and School
Board in reference to ha veing the City and School District
tax roll appraised by an outside firm to bring the valuations
of the property to the current market valve.
A motion by Alderman Hayward , seconded by Alderman Deacon to
have valuations brouqht up to the current market valves, motion
carried .
The City Council and the School Board agreed to split the cost
of the appra i si ng i n the Ci ty 50-50 �ric�bz .
Thrusday evening at 6:30 PM was set for the Council and the
Schoo� Board to meet with Webb B. Cooley, Jr. 8 Co. to get
an estimate of the cost of this tax appraising work. The
meeting will be at the School . Each Alderman will be notified
� by letter and request that each one be present and if unable
�' to be present to let the City Secretary know by 12:00 noon
Thrusday. This date being September 15, 1960.
A motion by Alderman Kaker , seonnded by Aldeman Deacon to
approve the moving of a building by Mr. G. W. Smith to his
lot on the $�. Highway in the Leonard Survey. Moton carried.
