Hayward. ; � A motion by Alderman Hayward to give Mr. Esslinger and his ``• � associates 15 minutes to present to the City Council their pro- fi posal , seconded by Alderman Deacon, motion carried. � # The Southwestern States Telephone presented to the council �:a proposed rate increase for telephone service in Grapevine and � wanted this to become effective in November or December 1960. ' �; The following is the proposed rate increase : Business - One Party �10.00 ; ' Busi ne s s - �vo Pa rty 7.75 ' ; Business - Extension 1 .50 � Residence- One Party 6.00 Residence- 'I1�vo Party 5.00 'i Residence- Four Party L�.25 Residence- Extension 1 .00 i' Semi-Public � � . 38 per day � t 's. These r�tes plus tax. R 4, The City requested the telephone co. to furnish to the City a financial statement of business in the City of Grapevine up to > June 1g60. The telephone co. promised to do this and have this � information here in t �me for it to be reviewed before the j council meeting of which time they intend to be present for the r �; Cityts answer to this rate increase. [ � A motion by Alderman Deacon that a contract be drawn up between the City and School in reference to the agreement of paying �' the cost of a tax appraisal ,by an outside firm,on all properties � within he C `� ; t ity Limits of Gra evine and the Gra evine Inde endlent P P P �; � School District, also other stipulations regarding maps, future „ ' property to be annexed into the City, cost , etc. , of which a �� copy of the agreement is attached and made a part of the minutes � ; of the City of Grapevine , motion was seconded by Alderman Harwell , ; motion carried. #i A motion by Alderman Kaker that the City hire Webb B. A motion by Alderman Harwell , secondefl by Alderman Hayward to extend art 8" sewer line fram Ball St. to Man Hole 18-�.4 as marked on plot plan of praposed water and sewer layaut �urnished by Freese & Nichols Consultirt� Engineers, ' Fort Worth, exas, based on receiving a let'ter fr�n the Deaconis and Cameron Lumber Co. stating their participation in the constructing of this s�wer line. And the property that will be div�ded into Iots and streets will pay City tax �s, but property nt�t plated : �� for lots w311 not�charged �'`same city tax� s as the other properfiy ' divided into lots for bui�ding. and devel.oping. �, � i � � � ' i ' Alderman Deacon gave the council his finding and what he had done in reference to trying to settle the dispute between Mr. Tate, Harston, and Mr. Tucker in regards to the alley by their places of business. Alderman Deacon employed Mrs Sue Lipscomb and Mr. Fred Morris surveyors to try to determine the :� location of the alley or if an alley really exist. Also the abstracts of the Harston �s was to be examined and seeif any � information may be obtained. If city may obtain title to alley t�ey will dispose of the alley. Mr. Bob Nichols explained to the council the importance of haveing the pipe inspected by Southwestern Laboratories. A motfon by Alderman Harwell , secnnded by Alderman Kaker to A�y the Company for their inspection of the pipe for the City in the length of time specified for this inspection. Motion carried. City�s part of this inspection amo�nts to approximately �480.00. ' Mr. Bob Nichols was to contact The Natkin Co. to see if they would be interested in laying the sewer lines to B�X�X�X Sunshine Harber and to Dellwood Acres and if so what the cost would be to the City. Mr. Smith discussed the water line across his property where he intends to build a motel, the council instructed Mr. SmLth to go ahead with his construction of the motel and to use Soil pipe for lhis sewer lines where they are within ten fe�t of the water line. This was agreed upon. A motion by Harwell , seconded by Deacon for the City to provide two (2) parking places at the rear of the Cit Hall for the ' Ci� Secretar and Cit Clerk e 1 Y y y y .
