J�rdan met cvith t'�e Counci. l to discuss the burning of trash, leaves , etc in direct violation of Ordinance ' No. 57-19, and causing additional fires in the City. The City informed �;�r. Jordan that an article would be written and printed in the "Grapevine Sun't asking the people to please comply with this burning of trash, leaves , etc. as set forth in this Ordinance , and explain why it so dangerous for them nr�t to comply with this. Mr. Allen and IU"r. Essling� r of the Southwestern States Telephone Company was pr�sent in regard to a rate increase asked for their Company. A motion by 4lderman D�acon, secondEd by Alderman N!atth�ws to authorize the T� 1F�hon� Co. a rate increase as long as the�e , is no decrease in she Grapevine Territory serviced by the present telephone exchange in G�,�pevine .
