Regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Grapevine, i
� Texas was held on F�bruary 17, 1959 , With the following members �
peesent: Mayor Joe D. Clark; Aldermen D. E. Dalton, R. T. Eidson, I
Norris Graham, Wm. H. Kaker, b R. F. Shelton; Secre�ary Huqh
Millican.
Minutes of the meeting of February 3, 1959 u�ere read and approved. �
Final plat of a proposed subdivistion of land out of the Leonard �
Survey was presented for action; said plat to be known as the �
�North 6ide Addition to the City of Grapevinet was approved by �
the Planning and Zoning Commission on February 16, 1959 . �lderman �
Kaker moved that the plat as presented be approved; motion was ,
seconded by Alderman Eidson and passed, j
1�lderman Shelton moved that the resolution calling for a City I
. Officier �s election to be held on April 7 , 1959, be approved; �
�lderman Eidson seconded the motion which passed. (Complete
copy of resolution is contained in the Ordinance Book and I
numbered R59-1 . )
The Mayor appointed Ray N!ac Hunter as Chief of Police for the
, City to be effective as soon as the appoint��r �has filed the proper
affidavit and be sworn in. Alderman Shelton moved that the
appointment be approved and that the salary be set as � 350.00
per month plus � 5.00 per month expense allowance; motion was
; seconded by Alderman Eidson and passed.
Alderman Kaker moved that Mrs. Laura Thomas be employed to
answer fire calls and �to operate police radio at such times
as the City Hall office is closed at a pay rate of �, 100.00
per month; Motion was seconded by Alderman Eidson and passed.
Alderman Kaker moved that th� cost of moving the fire phone and
the police phone � radio be approved for payment; motion was
seconded by �lderman Eidson and passed.
' Alderman Dalton moved that bids be accepted for the repainting
of the 100 ,000 gallon ground storage tank in time for awarding
contract at next meeting; Alderman Graham seconded the motion
which passed. I
Recommendations as to type of tractor and mower are to be drawn �I
and presented at the next meeting. '�
