HomeMy WebLinkAbout1957-05-21 Special MeetingT Special meeting of the City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas was held on May 21 , 1957 with the following members present: Mayor Joe D. Clark; Aldermen Doil Dalton, Norris Graham, Wm. H. Kaker, b R. F. Shelton; Absent was Alderman R. T. Eidson. Public he��ing was held on question of change in zoning classifi- cation of a tract of land situated on the South side of State Highway No� 114-121 east of Austin Street. There was no opposition to the proposed change. '' The following resolution was adopted on a motion by Alderman Shelton ' and second by Alderman Kaker: Resolution No. 57-4 WHEREAS, the ma�ority of the property owners on the North � part of Tracts 28D1 and 51 A-G of the Leonard Survey have petitioned the City Council to change the zoning district of their property from Residential to 1Gt Local Business Zone, WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended ' that this change be made, WHEREA,S, a public hearing was duly called and held for the consideration of this change, WHERAS, there was no opposition at the public hearing, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI TY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS: That Ordinance No. 55-6 be amended to set out that the North { part of Tracts 28D1 and 51 A-G of the A. H. Leonard Survey be and is hereby classified as �G� Local Business District. PASSED and approved this 21st day of May, 1957• Letter from the U. S. Engineers advising that the actual cost of the Grapevine Dam and Reservoir Project has been determined and that the Cityts share payments have been revised as follows: Due January 1 , 1958 � 1 ,862. 85 Due January 1 , 1959/72 1 ,557.93 Due .Tanuary 1 , 1973 1 ,558.�4• M57-26 Rate change by Texas Power 8� Light Company affecting certain existing and new classes of customers was defered until the regular meeting in June. Eidson was elected as Mayor Pro-tem for the year 1957-58• ' M57-29 Authorization was given for purchase of 1 ,000.00 of term insurance for each of the members of the Police Department � at a cost of $ 6.00 per year per man.
