J was held June 21, 1955 at �:00 p.m. at the City Hall with the following
members present: Aldermen P�. B. Austin, Joe Box, R. T. Eidson, E. M.
Pair and R. F. Shelton; Secretary Hugh P�illican.
Alderman Box, P��ayor Pro-tem, presiding; . �
Alderman Shelton moved that the City Council call a public hearing to 1,
��5� wy be held July 15 , 1955 at 7:30 p.m. for the purpose of considering the I
adoption of a 7oning Ordinance. P�totion was seconded by Alderman !,
Eidson and passed by vote, 5-0.
Mr. John Jennings appeared before the Council requesting water service
to the area near the intersection of State Highwa;� 111� and Loop 10.
Alderman Pair moved that the City extend service by installing a 6't
m,s�_�; water line along Loop 10 to the area; for each initial user of the
line, the City is to pay for 100 ft. of the line; balance is to be
paid by the users; all conditioned upon the receipt of a petition by
the property owners asking for annexation of the property to the City
Limits. Motion seconded by Alderman Shelton and passed by vote, 5-0.
Alderman Eidson moved that the City Secretary be authorized to sell
MSS-�►t the 60,000 gallon overhead storage tank and tower for �10.00. TRotion
seconded by Alderman Pair and passed by vote , 5-0.

Alderman Pair moved tr��t contract for curbs and gutters around water
plant No. 1 be awarded to Rholand �odgers for a price of �1.25
per ft. for straight curbs and �;�1.50 for curved � curbs. Also
MSs.so that :�. G. Cline be hired to do the extra dirt excavation necessary.
Pdotion seconded by Alderman Shelton and passed by vot e, 5-0.
Motion was made by Alderman Eidson that water and sewer service be
extended to property owned by Allen But�ne Co. at the intersection
mSS�s� of Dooley St. and E. N�1�T I�ighway upon the condition tha.t the property
be annexed to the City Limits. AZotion was seconded by Alderman Shelton
and passed by vote, 5-0.
