Texas which was elected to office in 1955 was held at the Citv Hall on
"""` '' April 19, 195 5.
The following members were present : Mayor, Joe Clark; Alderman Joe Box,
R. T. Eidson, E. M. Pair and R. F. Shelton; Secretary Hugh T:illican.
Alderman Joe Box was elected I�Zayor pro-tem.
Regular meeting of the Council was set for the lst Tues�ay night in each

Alderman Shelton moved that the City not allow N�r. "��illiam L. Peacock
to connect his property wkiich is situated ou�side the city limits, to
the mains of the water dept. until and unless easements for this line
are si�;ned by all parties involved or until the connecting line is laid
�n55''S along a public road-way in a ma.:iner which will meet with the approval
of the water superintendent . h'�otion was seconded by Alderman ]3ox and
passed by vote. ,
The Building Codes Committee meet with the Council to discuss their
�_ ss-y� recommendations for the inactment of plumbing codes , electrica]_ codes,
and building codes. Final a.ction on their recommendations will be taken
at a lat er date.
The Ma�ror anpointed L. G. Blevins as City Judge at a salary of ;�10.00

Alderman Box moved trat an exchange motor be installed in the 19�.9 Chev.

R. T. Eidson and passed b,y vote.
Alder.man Box moved that the City pay y�100.00 of the expenses of the City
m,� y9 Secretary in attending the Municipal_ Finance Officer's Association meeting
in New Orleans Niay 1-5. P�Zotion seconded by .'�lderman Pair and passed by
vote.
