Miautes of the regular meeting of April 20th were read and approeed ;
as read. Mi�ntes of the Special Meeting of May 5, 1954 were read and
appraved. � _ '

Upon opening of submitted bids for 50 water meters, a motion �as made �
by Alderman Joe Box and second by Alderman Shelton to bup the �0 meters
�� from Viking Supplp Corp. Twentp Five of these meters are to be of the
y�,' Sealed Plastic Register Box C� �23•90 (less 2,� upon 10 day pay ) net !
M �23•42 each. The remaining 25 are t� be of the standard register box '
type ¢ �22.20 (less 2� upon 10 day pay) net �21.76 each. �he motion
was passed unanimously and the order was personallp accepted by '
: QikiAg Supply Corp. representative, Mr. Tom Etheridge.
� Motioa was made to commend the City Marshall , Mr. A. B. Allen -for hia
diligeace in successfully completing 352 hours of training in Police
� Science with the Dallas Police Training School and doing work j
,'' satisfactory to merit an award of Certificate of Attainment and that
a�' the City Courtcil send a letter of thanks to the Citq of Dallas for the :
�` training and facilities made available to Mr. Allen without eost to j
the City of Grapevine. The motion pas�ed unanimously. "
Motion was made by Alderman Pair that the City request the State '
��1`� High�aq Department to erect City Limits signs at each entrance to the �
� City. Second by Alderman Guest. Motion was passed unani,miouslp.
