HomeMy WebLinkAbout1954-07-13 Special Meeting � � m � � ¢ Special meeting of the Citp Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas � was held on July 13 , 1954 with the following members present: `�.Q Mapor H. M. Cosnahan; Alderman J. J. Daniel, Bill Guest, E. M. Pair � and R. F. Shelton; Secretary Hugh Millican. Freese and Nichols presented data on construction of alternate sewer lines in connection w:ith the proposed east outfall line. Line "A" will extend from the manhole in Dooley street just east of the Negro School and extend westward through the Negro settlement , th en North to the extension of Hall street, then West in Hall street to the Vilbig property, then Northwest to the desposal plant. The estimated construction cost of this line is �30,597.5$. Line "B" will begin at the same point and continue along the same lines to s�� the intersection of Hall street and North Main, th en North along MS�� North Main, then West along North Main and across the B�ock property to the desposal plant. The estimated constructi'on cost of this line is �30,012.93. The estimated cost of the original line was �1$, 537.14. Due to the approximate �12,000.00 in added construction cost , it was decided to again approach Mr. Elwood Cluck in the attempt to secure an easement across property owned by h�m. Alderman Shelton, Guest , and Pair and Attorney French were appointed as a committee to work out the details with Mr. Cluck. A request was received, from a Cosden Petroleum Co. that the City move an existing 6 inch water line and fire hydrant from their property in Tract 1�9 A. F. Leonard Survey. Alderman Daniel pointed '�.a out that an easement had been secured for the construction of this line b��t said easement had not been recorded and the present owners w�s� were not a partp to the granting of the easement. Alderman Daniel � moved that the City proceed to have the line moved provided the owners agree to give an easement along their property line for the � new water line and pay one-half of the cost of moving the line. a Motion was seconded by Alderman Guest and passed by vote. � ,pQ Meeting Adjourned. � � � Q � � • Z , � u i , itq ecretarg � . �' i � , i � ,� � � . � � � � ; �
