M. Cosnahan; Aldermen Jo� Box, J. J. Daniel, Bill Guest, ' � E. M. Pair, & R. F. Shelton; Secretary Hugh Millican. j ; Minutes of the meeting of November 2, 1954 were read and approved. � Mr. & Mrs. Joe Hilliard appeared before the Council to protest the � amount of their July water bill and to register a complaint that N their service had been discontinued for non-payment of bill. A1- � �; �yf 4b de�man Daniel moved that the service be restored. �otion was i seconded by Alderman Shelton and passed by vote. No action was taken on amount of the July bill. f Alderman Pair introduced and moved the adoption of the follo wing amendment to Ordinance 54-4 relating to the water and se�ver rates: � 'uJHEREAS, heretofore on the 2nd day of February, � 1954, the City Council of the City of Grapevine � passed Ordinance No. 54-4 fixing the water and ; � sewer rates for the City, and, f �: 'aHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to f add an amendment to the said ordinance as set ' out below, � ; THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THF CITY COUNrIL OF THE � : CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS: j , , That the following is adopted as an additional section � to Ordinance No. 54-1� which is to remain in full force f � and effect , to wit. : ; ; t r' Section la. In all cases where more than one living F or business unit is supplied through one meter, a minimum char�e will be made for each living or business �' unit supplied through such meter. If two or more � living or business units are supplied through one meter, � a minimum charge will be made each month for each unit � regardless of whether units are occupied. r' � � The effective date of this amendment shall be the billing } date in Decemb.er, 1954 and first applying to bills dated ,, ; in Ja.nuary, 1955. . � �' i i Motion was seconded bby Alderman Daniel and passed by vote, 5-0; ° � ey1;.••s�••e. No. SN�_ 1 ; Alderman Pair moved that the city set separate meters for users ' � who are now on multiple connections for a charge of �35.00 until � �I�'41 January l, 1955 at which time the rate will be the same as f or � new connections. Motion seconded by Alderman Daniel and passed ; by vote, 5-0. ; � `r �� Motion by Alderman Daniel that the salary for the ;�Jater & Sewer � �, Supt. and City Secretary be raised to �300.00 each begining Jan. n M�,�4 1, 1955 �as seconded by Alderman Guest and passed by vote, 5-0. � � Meeting adjourned. ��: }' , � , . � .:_ _.-_
