AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 4, CHAPTER 5,
OF THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE,
TEXAS� DEFINING ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS,
AND PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE.
BE IT ORDAINE D BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE,
TEXAS;
I .
THAT Title 4, Chapter 5, Sections 5 and 7 are hereby amended
to read as follows:
4-5-5: APPLICATION FOR LICENSE:
(D) Plans and specifications of all buildings and other
improvements constructed, water, sewer, gas, electri-
city, telephone, garbage disposal, are to be con-
structed with a mobile home or trailer park.
The application and all accompanying plans and speci-
fications shall be filed in triplicate: The City
Building Inspector, City Secretary, and City Planning
and Zoning Commission shall investigate the applicant,
and inspect the proposed plans and specifications.
Each of them shall then make a report to the City
Council concerning such applicant an d include therein
their recommendations relative to the issuance of a
license. If the mobile home and/or trailer park is
in compliance with all provisions of this ordinance
and all other applicable ordinances or statutes, the
City Council may approve the application, and in the
case of proposed parks , make such approval contigent
upon completion of thepark according to the plans
and specifications submitted with the application.
After approval of the park by the City Council, before
any work is started there shall be a building permit
acquired from the City Building Official. The City
Secretary at the direction of the City Council shall
issue the license.
4-5-7: TRAILER COACH PARK PLAN: The trailer coach park shall
conform to the following requirements :
(B) Trailer coach spaces shall be provided, consisting of a
minimum of five thousand square feet (5,000 sq. ft. � for
each space, which shall be at least fifty feet (50' � wide
and clearly defined.
(C) Every person owning or operating a mobile home or trailer
park shall maintain such p ark, any facilities, fixtures ,
and permanent equipment in connection therewith, in a
clean and sanitary condition and shall maintain said
equipment in a state of good repair.
(D) It shall be unlawful for any person operating a mobile
home or trailer park or occupying a mobile home to
construct or permit to be constructed in such park or
in connection with such mobile home or trailer park
any a dditional structure, building or shelter in
connection with or attached to a mobile home or travel
trailer except, however, awnings of canvas or metal,
suitable construction, may be attached to said mobile
home or travel trailer, as well as portable, pre-
fabricated, temporary rooms, for the express purpose
of increasing mobile home or travel trailer living
area, commonly calle d (cabana) , which meet the following
requirements ;
(E) To secure a building permit from the Building Inspector
of the City of Grapevine.
(F) A metal only, fire resistant, double wall, mechanical
joint panels (no welded joints between panels permitted) ;
(G) Strength of materials and structure to meet minimum
standards of the city building code;
(H) Capable of being dismantled when moved;
(I) Such room shall be completely dismantled and removed
from the site at the time the mobile home or travel
trailer to which it is accessory is moved;
(J) Finished in appearance to be as near the same as
possible to the mobile home or travel trailer to which
it is accessory;
(K) The length must not exceed the length of the mobile
home or travel trailer to which it is an accessory;

(L) Only one such room per mobile home and travel trailer
shall be permitted.
(M) Provide for regular inspection of water and sanitary
conveniences.
(N) Provide for the collection and removal of garbage and
other waste materials .
(0) Prohibit the placing or storage of unsightly material
or vehicles of any kind.
(P) Provide or demand all mobile homes or travel trailers
have skirts.
(Q) All driveways and walkways shall be hard surface and
well marked in the daytime and lighted at night.
(R) For each mobile home or travel trailer lot there shall
be 1 1/2 off street parking spaces provided.

(S) The Park Plan required by Section 4-5-5 shall provide
a legal description and map clearly setting out the
following information :
l. The extent and area to be used for park purposes;
2. Driveways at entrances and exits, roadways and
walkways ;
3 . Location of sites for trailer coaches;
4. Location and number of proposed sanitary conveni-
ences, including proposed toilets, washrooms ,
laundries, laundry drying space, and utility
rooms ;
5. Method and plan of sewage disposal ;
6. Method and plan of garbage removal;
7. Plan of water supply;
8. Plan of electric lighting;
9. Such further information as may be requested by
the Council.

Should any part, section, paragraph, sentence, clause or
phrase contained in this ordinance be held to be unconstitu-
tional, such holding shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portion of the ordinance, but in all respect shall
- remain in full force and effect.
