AN ORDINANCE RECETVING AND ANNFXING TERRITORY
ADJACENT" AND CONTIGTJOUS TO 'THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE,
TEXAS: PROVTDING THAT THE AREA DESCRTBED BELOW,
SHALL BLC()ME A PART OF THE SAZD CITY AND THAT'
THE Ot�TNERS AND THE I1�THABITANTS THEREOF SHALL BE

OF SAID CITY AND BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES

PROVIDING FOR AMENDING AND CORRECTING T�3E OFFICIAL
BOUNDARIES OF SAID CITY HERETOFORE ADOPTED AS
AMENDID CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE.
WHEREAS, the Gity of Grapev�ne, Texas, acting by and under
Section 1.03 of Article: 2 of its Home Rule Charte� and Article
970a of V. A. T. S. Has de:termined that its boundaries should '
be enlarged and extended by the annexation of additional
territory described as follow�, to-wit,•
Tract�; of land in Tarrant Gounty, Texas, described as follows:
Being situated in the Northwest corner of Dallas County;
B�GINNING in the South right of way line of State Highway 121
at its intersection with the Tarrant-Dallas County line;
'� THENCE Northeasterly along said South right of way line of
State Highway '121, to its intersection with the Dallas-
Denton County line;
THENCE Westerly along the said Dallas-Denton County line to
its intersection with �he Tarrant-Dallas County line;
THENCE Southerly along the said Dallas-Tarrant County line
to the place of beginning.

WHEREAS, eaah of the above tracts of land are wi thin the confines
of the extraterritorial �ur3sdiction of said City of Grapevins,
TeRa:�:r and,
WHEREAS, after considering the annexation of the above described
territory, and City C•ouncil of eaid C9.�y of Grapevine, Texa�
has unanimously voted� to annex said tract to said City of
Grapev�.ne, Texas, and,
,�.,,,, WHEREAS, all legal requirements for the annexation of each said
tracts, including publication and public hearing, have been
hereto fore dul:y, timely, and properly performed and don�� and,

`JHEF�EAS, it is for the public welfare�, and for and to t he advan-
tage, general welfare, and benefit bf the C�it�r of Grapevine, Texa�
and of and for each said tract, that same: be now annexed to the
City of Grapevine,, Texa�:
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
�F GR.APEtTINE, TEXAS:
That the tracts of land, as above described, be and the same ar�
hereby annexed to the City of Grapevine, in Tarrant County,
Texas, be and the same are hereby extended to include the above
described tract.�� of land �i. thin the City limits of the City of
Grapevine, Texas, a municipal corporation, and said tracts of
land, and the future inhabitants thereof shall hereafter be.
entitled to rights and privileges of other citi�ens of the
City of Grapevine, T�exas and, they shall be hereafter bound by
the acts and Ordinances of said City.
That if any clause, phrase, sentence, paragraph, or section of
this ordinance shall be held void or unconstitutional for any

reason,, same shall not effect the other parts of this ordinance.
Passed on first reading to the second reading by an affirmative
