AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 7, CHAPTER 3,
OF THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE,
TEXAS, MINIMUM WATER AND/OR SEWER, REFUSE
DEPOSIT, AND PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE,
TEXAS;
I .
THAT Title 7, Chapter 3 , Section 9 is hereby amended to
read as follows:
7-3-9: APPLICATION:
Any person desiring to obtain water, sewer and
refuse shall make application to the Water Department and
before such person may be granted such service, he shall
deposit with the City a sum of money, equal to one and one
half times the minimum rate for each of the three services.
Failure to pay the water, sewer, and refuse bill within the
time alloted for payment shall be considered notice by the
customer to discontinue services and to apply as much of
the deposit as necessary to the satisfaction of the past
due bill. In such cases no services shall be renewed to
the customer until the sum of money on depc�sit shall have
been brought back up to the full amount of the original
deposit.

Should any part, section, paragraph, sentence, clause or
phrase contained in this ordinance be held to be unconsti-
tutional, such holding shall not affect the validity of
the remaining portion of the ordinance, but in all respect
shall remain in full force and effect .
