Mr. Preston and �r. Stewart of the �outh�estern States `lel �o
presented a pro}�vsal f or new ratsa. �tax Payne m�de a motion that
we conBider the propos�l, talk it over with the varous buainess men
and meet next 'jhursday night, July 20 with Mr. Preston a.nd give him
our answer. Seconded by James Buckner and a.erried.
i�otion by Jess Daniel and seconded by James " Buckn�r th�t the �ity
will pe�y the �immons �roa �100. and allow them to make ona sewer
conneotion in exchange for land to. be donated by the 5immons $ros.
so that �ustin Street could be extsnded north t.o the Highway 114 dc lZl.
'�he �immons �ros �lso agreed to contract the County �ommissioner �nd pay
all expensea that might arise in extendin� the above mentioned street.
Motion carried.
�ax Payne m�de a motion that we sign and pay for the easement
received from the �otton r�elt I3y in connection with the recent
sewer improvement made in the �ity. i�otion seconded by Johnnie
�t�rr• and carried.
�l� Payne was appointed by the i�ayor to call ;deninney �nd see if
we could {�et socne addition street lights.
No other business and meeting was adjourned.
