AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 7, CHAPTER 3, SECTION 16
OF THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE AND REQUIR-
-.. ING THAT RESIDENCES, BUSINESSES, OR INDUSTRIES WITH_
IN THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE BE RE_
QUIRED TO USE CITY WATER IF AVAILABLE AND PROHIBITING
" CUSTOMERS OF THE CITY WATER SYSTEM FROM SUPPLYING
WATER TO OTHER PERSONS OR TO OTHER FAMILIES OR SUFFER
THEM TO TAKE IT AND PROVIDING FOR AN EXCEPTION THERETO;
PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE; AND DECIARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE,
TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION I
Title 7, Chapter 3, Section 16 of the City Code of the City of
Grapevine, Texas be amended to read as follows:
7-3-16: SUPPLYING WATER:
l. Hereinafter it shall be unlawful for any person or
corporation to supply water to the residences, businesses, or
industries within the city limits of the city of Grapevine by
the use of a water well or any other method when the city water
supply is available.
2. No customer shall supply water to other persons or to
other families or suffer them to take it, except for use on the
premises, without permission of the water department.
SECTION II
Any person or corporation violating any of the te�s > of
this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon
conviction shall be fined not less than Five ($5.00) dollars nor
more than One hundred ($100.00) dollars and each day on which a
violation occurs or continues shall be deemed as a separate offense.

SECTION III
That if any section, subsection,word, sentence or phrase of
this ordinance shall be declared invalid or unconstitutional such
declaration shall not affect the validity of any other part of
this ordinance.
SECTION IV
If, being for the public welfare that this ordinance be
� passed and such amendments be made, there exists an emergency
, and public necessity that the rule requiring this ordinance
to be read on two several occasions Be and the Same is Here-
by Waived and this ordinance shall now be placed on its third
and final reading to its passage, and shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval and publica-
tion.
