J. Daniel, John Hemley, A. F. ;� Shelton, S. M. Payne , and Bill Yancey; Secretary Hugh Millican; , ; Attorney Thomas French, Jr. � Attorney presented contract between B. & D. Mills and City of Gra�pevine for the errection of water atorage tanks by B. & D. with the ch�.nges ae directed hy council at meeting November 14th: Mayor & Secretary authorized to sign & execute contrzct in behal� of the city. ��, ,�. Petition of J. A. �Watson, J. A. Serug�s, & Sueie Smith requesting ad_mie�ion to City Limits of territories owned by them. Ordinance presented providing for approval of petition & annexation of described properties. Motion made by S. M. Payne and seconded by John Hemley that petition be accepted and. ordinance be passed. (Ord..inance � 52-4) . Motion carried. Motion by S. M. Payne & Second by Bill Yancey that the City pro- ceed with the eompletion of the contract with the U. S. Engineer� for the purchase of 1,250 acre-feet of watEr storage space in the Grapevine Reservoir as in contra.ct # DA-41-443-1126. Motion c�rried. Following Bills allowed for payn�ent; W. T. Guest to plant trees in the park�vays in the Bellaire additon. Motion carried. Motion by John Hemley that the City diecontinue the collection oP �;� interest and penalty on deliquent taxe� and to r�fund upon requeet ' � any interest and penal�Zy charged and. collected in the y��r oP 1952. Motion seconded by Shelton anc? carried. . I ; Motion by Yancey that the City give a 3# box of candy to each ot' the members of the Fire Department and a 5# box to the telephone ; operators. Motion seconded by J. J. Daniel and motion carried. � Motion by J. J. Daniel that the City purchase 50 new water meters for installation as soon as possible . Seconded by John Hemley.
