The regular meeting of the Citp Council Was held on September 15,
1953 with the following members present: Mayor H. M. Cosnahan;
Aldermea Joe Box, Bill Guest, E. M. Pair, 8c R. F. Shelton; Sec-

retary Hugh Niillican; Attornep Tom French; Engineer Bob Nich�ls. �
� Minuteg or the preceeding meeting was read and approved.

Motion bp Alderman/amd second by Guest that Alderman Pair inves- I�
tigate and act on the re„placement or repair of the fire siren
located at water plant # 2, was passed. (4-0)
W. L. Henderson offered his resignation as night watchman effee�iQe '
Sept. 15, 1953• Resignation was accepted. �

Mr. Les Blevine was appointed as nightwatchman and assistant City i
Marshal. Motion by Alderman Guest that the appointment be approved �
was seconded bp Alderman Box and passed� 4-0. ��
Alderman Guest offered the following motion: That the City Council
approve the recommendations contained in Freese & Nichols engineering,
report on the Grapevine City Water And Sewer Systems dated Sept�mber
1953, and that if it can be determined bp the Mayor and City Secy
that the City finances will support a bond issue adequate to finance �
improvementsas recomended, that the Mayor be authorized to proceed �
to do all things neccessary towards planning and preperations for �
a bond election. Mvtion was seconded by Alderman Box and passed �
4-0.
