eld on October 2, 1953 with the following members present:
Mayor H. M. C nahan- Aldermen J. J. Daniel, Pill Guest, and E. M.
Pair; Secretary Hugh iillican; Attorney Tom French.
Motion by J. J. Daniel, that the time of the meetings of the City
Council be changed from 8 P. M. to 7:30 P. M. was seconded by Bill
Guest and passed on vote.
Minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved..
Bills and. Expenditures .for February were allowed and attached to
these minutes.
The fare alarm siren which was located atop water plant No. 2 was
returned to the City unrepaired as parts for this were unobtainable.
The question of replacing the siren was delayed until a report .from
the Fire rept. can be obtained.
Discussion of the contract between the City of Grapevine and
Mills for the storage of water and the advisability of installation
of a inch water meter was held. Motion by J. J. Daniel and second
by Pill west that the meter be installed at the expense o
Mills since the contract states that the water stored can be used
for purposes other than for fire fighting was passed
Motion by F. M. Pair and seconded by J. J. Daniel that water used
in connection with the improvements by the State Highway Dept. or
its contractors of the Keller Road be charged for at the rate of
300 per thousand gallons, was passed by vote.
