The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Grapevine
� Texas was held on December 1, 1953 with the following members �
present: Mayor H. M. Cosnahan; Aldermen Joe Box, Bill Guest,
E. M. Pair, & R. F. �helton; Secretary Hugh Millican; Attornep �
Tom French.

Minutes of th� preeeeding meetings were read and approved.
Request from the First Presbyterian Church that the taxes on �
Lot ; Block 2; D. E. Box Addition for the year of 1952 bg ?
settled for with the payment of � of the total amount. Reason +
for the request was that the Church purchased the propertp ',
and owned it for about � of the �ear in question. The request
was granted upon a motion by Alderman Box and second by Alderman
Shelton.
Mr. Tip Johnson pxoposed That for � 500.00 per month he would
agree to keep the streets within the City Limits maintained
with machine and labor furnished. This would not include either
� material or gravel haulin�, nor would it include applying
hard surfacing to paved streets.
The proposition was def�red until later meeting.
A'Ioved by Alderman Guest and Seconded by Alderman Shelton that
I the Mayor and Citp Secretary be authorized to sign an optmon
th purchase a tract of land known �s the East 106.9 feet of
; Lot 25, Block 1, City of Grapevine from E. T. 8c Au G. Simmons
� subject to the passage of the Bond election, December 12, 1953.
Motion passed on vote. The lot sale price is � 1250.00 and is to
be used for the errection of the contempleted water storage tank.
