City Secretary STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF TARRANT CITY Or GRAPEVINE The Board of Zoning Adjustments of the City of Grapevine, Texas, met in Regular Session on this the Second day of February, 1984, at 6:15 PM in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 413 Main Street, with the following persons present, to wit: Glenn Deavers Doug Lamb Garry Tischler Bill Waldrip Vice Chairman Member Member Member constituting a quorum, with Chairman Gerald Thompson, First Alternate Steve Hall and Second Alternate Ronald Troy absent, and the following City Staff, to wit: H.T.(Tomny)Hardy Building Official Steve Richardson City Planner Joy Welch Secretary ax.mmaxegan Vice Chairman Deavers called the meting to order at 6:15 PM, and explained the procedures and purpose of the meeting. 19Y."Aammmula Vice Chairman Deavers then issued the "Oath of Truth" to the following persons who expressed a wish to speak relative to the evening's agenda: Johnny and Sharon Shaw of 2850 North O'Dell Court NEW BUSINESS The first item for the Board's consideration was application BZA 84-01 submitted by Mr. Gary Laney. The request was for a variance for frontage shown as 44.26 feet, and the City Ordinance requires 65 feet of frontage. In order for plat consideration by the Council and Planning and Zoning Cc fission, the variance would first need to be granted. Mr. Laney failed to appear to respond to questions from the Board. Mr. Shaw expressed opposition to the frontage requested and suggested there would be a simpler solution. Mr. Hardy added that the s ',division was odd-shaped. The plat would divide a tract of land into two lots, both to be gifts to Mr. Laney and a sister, and the discussion led to a general consensus of those present that there would be adequate enough land to divide it differently if the parties involved would agree. The secretary reported that correspondence had been received relative to the subject case, and there being no further discussion, Member Doug Lamb made a motion to table the variance request, and Garry Tischler seconded the motion which prevailed by the following vote, Ayes: Deavers, Lamb and Tischler Nays: Waldrip Absent: Hall and Troy & Thompson BZA Minutes 2-2-84 Page 2 MISCEILANECUS DISCUSSION AND/OR REPORTS Mr. Hardy advised that the City Attorney's office will file a suite against Mr. Tom Wade, that documents have been filed to prevent him from closing a sale on property that has been before this Board several times. MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF DECEMBER 1, 1983 There being no additions or corrections to the Minutes of December 1, 1983, Member Lamb made a motion to waive their reading and approve them as published. Bill Waldrip seconded the motion which prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Beavers, Waldrip, Tischler and Lamb Nays.- None Absent: Hall & Troy & Thompson ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to come before the Board this evening, Garry Tischler made a motion to adjourn, and Doug Lamb seconded the motion which prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Deavers, Waldrip, Tischler and Lamb Nays: None Absent: Hall & Troy & Thompson PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE BOARD • ZONING V �• • THE CITY • GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, • THIS THE DAY • 1984. irman ATTEST: Secretary
