SUBJECT: REIMBURSEMENT RESOLUTION TO CONTRACT FOR IT
PROJECT ENGAGEMENT FOR THE NEW PUBLIC SAFETY
BUILDING AND DESIGN SERVICES
RECOMMENDATION:
Consider a reimbursement resolution expressing intent to finance expenditures to be
incurred relative to IT project engagement fort new public safety building with Acuity-
Holdings, Inc. and Design Services with Brinkley Sargent.
BACKGROUND:
This resolution allows for the reimbursement of expenses related to building design and
technology consulting for the new public safety building. The contracted services for IT
include formulating design specifications, writing RFP's for equipment and installation,
actual or inspections, data center move planning, move assistance and planning fiber
connectivity tot new facility. The total cost o f t hese contracted services is budgeted
in an amount not to exceed $109,930.
The second portion of the resolution deals with the building Design Services contract for
the Public Safety Building, including Municipal Court, IT, Central Utility In and a
logistics building. The contract also includes design of roads, parking lots, landscaping,
site survey, civil engineering and construction coordination in an amount not to exceed
$2,184,000.
The total cost of all services is $2,293,93o. The cost of these services will be
reimbursed by GO Bonds approved by the voters in 2012 for this purpose.
