SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF A RESOLUTION FOR THE PURCHASE OF A
TURTLE SCUPILTURE AND SIGNS FOR CASEY'S CLUBHOUSE
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council to consider approval of a resolution for the purchase of a turtle sculpture/play
component and signs for Casey's Clubhouse at Dove Park from The Play Well Group, Inc.
through an Interlocal Participation Agreement with The Local Government Purchasing
Cooperative (Buyb oar d).
FUNDING SOURCE:
Funding fortis purchase is currently available in account 121-48840-312-13-000026
(Quality of Life Fund) for the amount not to exceed $46,113.39.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
This purchase will be made in accordance with an existing Interlocal Participation
Agreement with The Local Government Purchasing Cooperative(Buyb oar d)as allowed by
Texas Local Government Code, Section 271.102, Cooperative Purchasing Program.
Bids were taken by the cooperative and a contract was awarded to The lay ell Group,
Inc. Parks and Recreation staff and Purchasing reviewed the contract for specification
compliance and pricing and determined that the contract would provide the best product
and pricing for meeting the needs of the City. The Cooperative Purchasing Agreement
satisfies all bidding requirements under the Texas Local Government Code.
Staff recommends approval.

Section 1. That all matters stated in the above preamble are true and correct and
are incorporated her i s if i in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of r vin authorizes the ur
of playground sculpture n ins for Casey's Clubhouse from The PlayWell Group,
Inc. through an Interlocal Participation Agreement with The Local Government Purchasing
Cooperative ( u r ) for an amount not x $46,113.39.
