SUBJECT- APPROVAL OF A RESOLUTION FOR THE SALE OF CITY
SURPLUS PROPERTY THROUGH PUBLIC AUCTION
RECOMMENDATION,:
City Council to consider a resolution declaring a 2002 E-ONE Bronto Fire Truck as surplus
property and approve the sale through public auction. The minimum bid for the sale of this
vehicle will start at $275,000.
BACKGROUND-
This request is to approve a resolution for the sale of a surplus 2002 E-ONE Br onto Fire
Truck, Fleet Services staff has considered the age, cost of operation and maintenance
costs of this vehicle when classifying property as surplus.
The City currently has this fire truck ready for auction due to budgeted replacement,
equipment age and condition, The proceeds from the sale of the Brunt o Fire Truck will be
deposited into the Fleet Replacement Fund as agreed to during the F 20 3 budget
discussions.

WHEREAS, it has been determined that the City of Grapevine, Texas is in
possession of a fire trek that is surplus property.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TE
Section 1. That all matters stated in the above preamble are true and correct and
are incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the 200 E-ONE Bronto fire truck is hereby declared surplus
property.
Section 3_ That the City Manager, or his designee, it hereby authorized to
schedule an auction to r for sale said fire truck and to obtain the highest bid possible
f r thi item. The minimum bid for the sale of this vehicle is 275,000.00. The proceeds
from the sale of the Bronto Fire Truck will be deposited into the Fleet Replacement Fund.
Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.
